Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Not that i am aware of. I normally use the mobile app. See if you can use mobile app for looking up the promos applied to your line

Yesterday I was told that I'm eligible but my account is capped at 8 lines. One expert suggested to cancel an existing line to add the promo but was left on hold and never got to finish. Try again today and now supposedly I'm not eligible anymore.

Been with Tmobile for 16 years. Requested about the free line, and they said they'll credit back the $35 since I've been a loyal customer. So now I'll have a total of 9 lines.
Did you call or chat? I tried to waive the $35 but they said we don't guarantee that the line will be free..I might get charged for it if they waived it

I went through a few agents to get one that knows what they're doing to get the free line. I'm on the One plan.

great advise here - how long have you waited before porting in your original number back on one of the free lines? 1 month or 3 months?

I am on Magenta 1.0. Just was DM'ing with T-force. They said I qualify and won't even have to pay the $35 DOC. Just add a line on the website. See response below:

Hey there, I've got great news for you! This holiday season, we have an amazing, limited time promotion just for some of our loyal customers. As a thank you for your loyalty, we are giving the gift of a free voice line. You definitely qualify to snag that freebie!

All you need to do is bring your own device, maintain your current rate plan, activate a new voice line, and do not cancel any voice lines for a year. Your new voice line will be free after monthly bill credits! You can activate the new line yourself on http://MyT-Mobile.com or in the app: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...ur-account As an added bonus, you'll save $35 by adding the line on your end with our current promotion!

Please note there won't be any indicator online or special process for activating this line to make it free, just because your account is set up right for it, the normal add a line order flow is just what to follow and you'll be good to go!

Enjoy that freebie friend, and happy holidays! ^AlissaWilson

Yes, it is very similar to the app, go to the Bill & Pay menu -> view my discounts and promotions -> Service promos

I have a Magenta plan with 2 lines. Started a chat in the app and asked if I'm eligible. Rep checked and I am. Told the rep I wanted an eSIM and got the $35 fee waived.

And to those who are wondering if you can port a number to this free line: Yes you can, that's what I did

Do we need to add a promo code during checkout to get this working if doing via the website?

So I can't tell if you went ahead and ordered the line based on your post. If you did, you can actually find out right away when the sim card is shipped (notification); just log into your account and look under promotions and see if the new line is there with the promo attached. Since you have the same plan as me, please don't mind me if I'm using you as the guinea pig of whether our plan is eligible. If you find out you're eligible, please share and respond; I will go ahead and add a line on my new unlocked Pixel 7 eSim to avoid the $35 fee. TIA
According to the email I received I did place an order for another line. I have not received a notification that a Sim has shipped yet (ugh), nor do I see another line in my account.

I did get charged the $35.

I'm on SC (6 lines, $120) and also got dinged with a +$15 6GB/mo data plan. Anyone else face this problem?
Yes, same issue happened to my new line. Rep told me it would be unlimited free data plan just like all my other lines, but he li*d.

The rep actually added a 6GB data plan to the new line which costs an additional $15/mo. I immediately called 611 and tried to sort it out. Luckily I was connected to a US-based rep this time, and after explaining the situation, the lady knew exactly what happened, and she was able to fix my data plan quickly. Now the new line has the unlimited data with $0/mo just like the rest of my lines in the existing Simple Choice family plan.

Here is my current account setup:

Simple Choice (first 4 lines free)

Line 1 - Free Simple Choice
Line 2 - Free Simple Choice
Line 3 - Free Simple Choice
Line 4 - Free Simple Choice
Line 5 - $10/month add a line
Line 6 - $10/month add a line
Line 7 - Free 2020 Line on Us promotion
Line 8 - Free 2022 BYOD Line P1 promotion

If I'm understanding what others have said correctly I need to wait 12 months before I can port lines 5 and 6 elsewhere for a month to then port the numbers back into T-Mobile so those numbers will replace what's currently on Lines 7 and 8? If I do that prior to 12 months then I'll lose the promotion on Line 8 making it free?

I was on 8 lines Magenta Max and got put on 9 lines Magenta Max for this deal. Last free line I turned down cause they wanted a $100 deposit and I didn't really need the line. Also, I did receive a text that a promo was no longer eligible but laster received 2 separate texts that there are promo active on my account.

Question, I have an employee discount through my company. I was told I can't add my discount through my company cause I have free lines and it can't be combined with my free lines. Makes no sense. Anyone heard of that?
