Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Woah. Wait. This free line can be a tablet line??
Yes. I gave the tmobile rep my iPad's IMEI and they approved everything. The sim card is on it's way.

Sigh.. I guess I will call tomorrow. Wonder if chat is an option to fix it.
I really don't trust chat for "fixing" issues since the chat rep was the one who set it up incorrectly (and he kept saying he was the T-mobile Export). I decided to call this time so I could try to get a US-based rep to help me out, and it turned out to be a right decision.

Good luck!

I was denied twice for the promo through tforce and app chat. I took the advise from reddit and just added the line myself through the app using an esim and the promo is showing on my account already In less than 5 minutes w/o paying the $35. I just hope it sticks now, if not I will just cancel the line.
We need more brave souls like you.
Maybe everyone is actually eligible after all.
Lots of people did the same on Reddit?

This whole free line with Tmobile things needs to stop now. Just average a line at $20 unlimited, and bring back the trade in deals you used to do instead of this whole magenta max crap. I'm so tired of them about to leave

This promo finally shows up on my account, with an assigned number and $0.00/month fee. Now just waiting for the sim to get here.
It's been 7 hours and nothing shows under my service promotions at this point. Annoying.. so far the account looks fine from the soc change but I do see under account changes my 4 prior free lines show One plan removed which concerns me but atm each line seems to be the same when checking individually. Waiting to see if in a day or so everything is messed up

Yeah, many people did the same and have the promo showing already using self-service with esim. If you choose the mailed sim option, they say you won't see the promo till it ships, so I did the estimate option.

I asked T-Mobile last night through iMessage if my account was eligible but the agent said no due to my account having more than 2 lines. I figured he didn't know what he was looking for (late after hours).

I just added a BYOD line myself through the website.

Simple Choice NA 6GB Family plan here.

4 Paid Lines
2 Free Lines 2020 Line On Us 2 & 3

2022 BYOD P1 promo showed up for the new line about 15 minutes later.

Thank you to the others who shared their own experiences.

Did you call or chat? I tried to waive the $35 but they said we don't guarantee that the line will be free..I might get charged for it if they waived it
You ask them for one time $35 credit only then confirm order. They will place the order, give you orders # and then wait for them to give you credit. You will get a text as below

We placed the requested adjustment of $35.00 plus tax if applicable to your account. For details, view the Account Events section on t-mo.co/account3

Has anyone done an upgrade on the new line to see if the $800 iphone deal triggers?

The promotion is called BYOD 2022 P1 for a reason.

"BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) only: This offer does not stack with / apply to any device purchase options / promotions offered by T-Mobile. Must provide your own T-Mobile compatible / unlocked smartphone to activate on your free line."
