Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Is it possible to get that number replaced later with a port-in? On a free line?
I'm likely going to get a number that I can easily remember from NumberBarn if the # can be replaced.
Yes you can call and port in but need to be clear to port into the existing line to just change the number and not port in to add a line. Triple check with the agent and it will work.

Call the Number transfer Center 24 hours a day / 7 days a week 1-877-789-3106

I am in the same situation. Rep confirmed I am eligible however I am capped at 8 lines.
You could switch to a different SOC but that requires you to verify with an agent that all promos and discounts stick and the account does not get messed up. SOC FRLTULFM9 seems to work with this promo and is a 9+ line plan. There may be better SOC's out there, don't know the differences and pros and cons.

The promotion is called BYOD 2022 P1 for a reason.

"BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) only: This offer does not stack with / apply to any device purchase options / promotions offered by T-Mobile. Must provide your own T-Mobile compatible / unlocked smartphone to activate on your free line."
There's at least 1 person in this thread that done it through rep

Those people were told they were not eligible, right?
I was denied and others too, but using the self-service option got us the promo.

True, but they stated these things before like Costco $300 BYOD lines would not work and some brave souls tried and it often worked. (back in the days)

Every time I've added a free line, the've never given me the one plus promo or kickback automatically.

I've always had to contact support to get it added.

I'm going to wait a bit for the free line hysteria to die down because customer service must be swamped right now.
How do you convince them to add these to the free lines?

How do you add line on your own? do you just add a line or is there a code you have to apply? Sorry, if it is answered earlier, but could not find.

tmobile.com -> click shop -> add a line -> bring your own device.
No code required.
During checkout, it will show you have to pay $30 monthly and you can just ignore it.
Once the order is complete, the line becomes free after a few hours.

I did that until the the CC details. It is asking me to change to magenta plan. I am on the one plus promo plan with 2 paid lines and 1 free line. But it says $20 due monthly. I don't want to lose the one plus promo plan. Any suggestions?
