Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Added one more free line with this. Now I have 2 paid line and 5 free lines on Mag Max. Feels bad to have so many free lines but they keep giving. I hope they don't go out of business.

I know that this free line shouldn't be cancelled for 12 months and then it stays on. Am I able to port out/cancel other lines in those 12 months?

Can I change from esim (2022 BYOD p1) to physical sim and then port number from another carrier into this new T-Mobile physical sim. Would it affect the promo because the number changed ?

No, it will not affect the promo. You can change from esim to a physical sim and vice versa. You can also port in from another carrier and it will still not affect the promo even though the number changed.

Yes as long as this line was originally added as the byod promo line

So today I received an automated text message from T-Mobile saying:

"Congrats! You will receive your promotional service discount from T-Mobile as long as you maintain eligibility. View t-mo.co/activity for account details"

And when I look inside my account I see details of the new added line, as well as the following under "service promos" tab:

"2022 BYOD Line P1: enrolled"

All signs point to the promotion being manually applied correctly by the CSR that we spoke with after being denied three times previously.
Congrats! But to go back to my point (and I believe many will agree with me and you can read the OP and wiki), T-Mobile system already predetermined your account was eligible for this promo, it wasn't the CSR "action" that got you the promo. Those previous CSRs likely didn't know how to check if you were eligible (T-Mobile CS and T-force have gone down the tube after Legere left), the last CSR probably knew how to check if you were eligible. If you have read the posts the last couple days, many people were told multiple times they weren't eligible and they went ahead and ordered the line themselves and they were eligible for the promo, so the system already determined those accounts were eligible, it had nothing to do with a CSR "applying some promo code". If you had ordered it yourself without the last CSR's help after being told you weren't eligible by the first 3 CSRs I think you would have gotten the offer regardless

We're all on FRLTUL2LP and are maxed at 3 lines. You can find the details at the wiki in this 2020 thread.

I tried to message T-Force through Twitter twice but haven't gotten any response after over 24 hours. I asked them if I can switch to FRLTULF2 and then add a holiday unwrapped line. I get the same change to Magenta issue online that would double my bill if I try to add a line, and when I tried iMessage, they wanted to switch me to Magenta and so I declined.

I'm also pretty sure we're getting de-prioritized heavily in busy areas like Essentials does. I have to use Xfinity Mobile on the pay by GB in busy areas.

Oh wow, thanks for the information. I had no idea the plan only supported up to 3 lines. Not sure if it is worth trying to move to the more expensive plan to add a free line that we won't really need for years. Though I guess the discount on Netflix does mitigate the extra cost a little. Maybe I will at least ask if it is a possibility. If I can get ahold of anyone.

Any luck ? No luck for me because I still have the old plan.
10 hours later and still no response to my Twitter DM. See the comment a little bit above yours. It says our plan cannot have more than 3 lines.

Can magenta have 2 free lines and 2 paid lines?

I changed my plan to magenta (3 lines = 2 paid + 1 free) this morning. I was told on chat that it would be total of $80 (plan rate) plus $52 (device installments) as monthly after the change to magenta. Now I added a new line with 2022 BYOD LINE P1. i see the promotion applied already to my account. But I see that my monthly actually shows as $96(after applying 2 free lines discount ). Btw, I have insider discount. Not sure how it increased by $16 after adding the free line today.

So I am thinking of adding the line -- even though it does not show up as a promo. Since people have had luck of getting the promo once the line is active. Does anyone know if I have to cancel it -- will it void out the previous free lines that I have added to my account.

tia.

Well just a few minutes ago I checked the app in the new line which would be my 9th finally showed up. However, I see nothing anywhere on the account showing the new line code.
Under account details I do see a charge of $25 for the new line. Also, I don't see the add-ons that the line should have that I told the to do and he supposedly verified that it was done so back on chat I go.

This isn't really an answer to your question, more like a follow up question, but from what I read in the OP, this new line isn't fundamentally "free". It will be charged like normal but for the next 12 months TMobile will give you bill credit to cover it so it ends up you don't have to pay for it. Then after 12 months, it becomes a real free line. So if you cancel any other lines on your account within the 12 months, the bill credits will cease. Is my understanding correct?

FWIW, after getting this "free" line added, on my account, I see a plan change scheduled for December 2023, which I assume is to make it a real free line.
