Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

I wanted to report back what happened to me.

I messaged T-Force and they replied back to just add a line online and don't worry about the charge, the line will be free once it goes through.

Followed the add a line steps online. I picked the sim card option. Once I got the shipping information, the new line showed up.

Under promos, I see the discount.

Damn easy. Thanks OP and everyone else.

I'm on the Amplified Plan, which is the employer discounted plan, which is the plan that give Magenta Max benefits at the Magenta price.
Under Promotions, how is your new line showing up?

In for one… now i just need a reason to have an extra line.
Most folks on here got extra line to have extra girlfriend, you might want to use that reason, too

Does anyone know what does 'running' mean under order status? I ordered the physical sim when adding the new line. Thanks

Bit of a process, but I was able to add the free line. I already had 3 lines on magenta max with 1 line being completely free already, also the employee code thing for 20% off that the rep gave me when we activated in the store.

I got on chat and that said I qualified for the unwrap promo. I said I'd do it later as I was busy at work. Later that night, a 2nd rep told me I didn't qualify so I gave up. Just got on a 3rd chat this morning and rep put it all through. 2 business days I'll receive the Sim, didn't ask for an imei. Paid the $35 act fee.

Now 4 lines on magenta max for $107.20 a month after autopay and all discounts. I'm happy with that!

I added a new line myself using T-Mobile app, on Simple Choice plan. They added $15 data plan automatically - will have to call them fix that.

My previous two free lines are showing as

2020 Line On Us 2
2021 Line On Us 6

However the latest addition shoes up as

2022 BYOD Line P1

There is nothing to indicate that it's free.

Anyone else got something different or interpret it differently?
Under applied discounts and promotions on my Magenta Max:

$30 2022 BYOD Line P1 (Additional Lines)

My bill went up $24 then back down to where it originally was the next day.

Data point here. I have an old plan on 2 lines "One Plan All" and a 3rd line was added for free in the past. I'm not qualified for this promo.

I really refused to upgrade to Magenta Max because I really only pay $90/month for 3 lines ($100 without discount)

Is there any kind of discount on Magenta Max so I could pay only $90 for 3 lines ?

Not that I know of. Prior to adding this free promo, I was and still am on magenta max, 2 lines paid, 1 free, insider discount code. Pay $107 on autopay. Now 4 lines and still the same $107.

Someone suggested contacting support. I may try that in the morning and see if they can add a line to the existing plan on their end. And if so, if it ends up being free. I tried asking through Chat this morning if I was eligible and was told I was not, but seems like plenty of people who were told no initially were able to get it by adding a line.
We don't currently need a fourth line. We're not even using the free third line at the moment. But with two kids we will eventually need lines for both of them. But that's still years away, so no reason to pay more now.
Any luck ? No luck for me because I still have the old plan.

Lucky you my friend. I guess I wasn't really aware or care of those awesome tricks. I regret it now.

  1. Login to your account online
  2. Click Add a person or device to my account
  3. Click Bring your own phone
  4. Select either eSIM or physical SIM
  5. Check out from there
  6. It will shows $20, $30, or $40 per month depending on your account type and number of existing lines. If you get the promotion, you'll receive equal amount of credit to make the line free
  7. To check your promotion enrollment, go to My account -> Account activity or Bill & pay -> Scroll all the way down and click View my discounts & promotions -> Service promos. If you selected eSIM, you should see the promo in minutes. If you selected physical SIM it won't show up until after the SIM is shipped
Isn't this a risky endeavor if you're not eligible?

Just pulled up chat on the tmobile app, asked the rep if promo was applicable to my account and she successfully submitted my order.

I'm on Magenta Essentials plan.

Today >> My friend was Unable to add via online. It ask to call toll free or 611

Yesterday, Our Family plan, we added a line via online my tmobile (web site), it has gone thru and SIM is being shipped. However a new line or promo has appeared on the account. While adding a new line it did not ask for IMEI number for BYOD. Not sure if it would work out as a free line

I hope to chat with c/s but last nite I was on long hold and no response

Got this promo on my grandfathered Preferred FT600 NW plan. I almost never qualify for these type of promos. Thanks OP!
