Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

You go to "Shop" on your account. You can go to it via the app or the website. When you add a line it'll show your cost and no promos. So it's a cheek clenching moment.

Once you muster enough courage to hit buy it'll process the order. If doing an e-sim you'll activate the line. 15 minute after you activate the line you'll get a text saying the promo is applied. Until then, it will look like there's no promo. It's 15 minutes of wondering if you screwed up.
Thank you so much for explaining. so If I choose a physical sim then I assume I need to wait till it ships ? If I choose esim now and later can I convert that to a physical sim ? have a few old Sims lying around

You can convert from esim to sim if that's what you want to do later. Physical sim gets activated once it ships so you don't have to wait too long for confirmation if u go that route.

I didn't do the physical sim so can't say for sure, but that seems to be the case from what I read on reddit.

Once you have the line you can do whatever you want with it, which includes moving off the e-sim and to a physical sim/different device. You would need to erase the e-sim, you can do that in your phone settings.

T-mobile used to allow you to reuse SIMs and there was a website to activate the line with the sim. I know that was causing issues though when they moved full to 5G. At any rate, I can't seem to find that website anymore, only the prepaid sim activation.
https://prepaid.t-mobile.com/brin...own-device

But transferring is certainly possible. To an eSim or to a new T-Mobile SIM, but I don't know if they'll allow you to transfer it to a SIM you already have anymore as it isn't even an option when you add the line.

Told no on T-Force, told no on chat, told no via 611. Tmobile One w/ 3rd line free, 2 more free lines, and insider discount. Told a myriad of reasons from plan not eligible to not eligible because I already had a free line. At one point I was also told all accounts are eligible but not all accounts will show it yet. Based on other folks I decided to give it a try.

Added the line myself, $0 due today. Did an e-sim w/ my iPhone 14. I don't need the line, won't be needing one so figured might as well give it a try.

15 minutes after activating my eSim, I received a text saying I will receive my promotional discount. Checked my account:

"$30 2022 BYOD Line P1 (Additional Lines)"
After you saw the $0 due today and you went to the next part, did it say the monthly cost was $20 or $30 monthly?
Were you already using a physical sim in your iphone 14, so that's why you requested the eSim?

[QUOTE=DoodleJinx;160396495]Got the promo text and I also see $30 2022 BYOD Line P1 ( Additional Lines) in the 'Applied Discounts and promotions' section on the Plan page in my account. This is awesome. Hate T-Mobile for making it so difficult.

This is great. The method of activating a new eSIM line and waiting for the promo worked. I activated the new eSIM line on my iPhone, which already has my personal and business T-Mobile lines on it. The eSIM activated, and I used it to send a text and watch a couple videos. About 15 minutes after placing the order, I got the text message, and the promo shows on my account.

Very happy about this, because I was livid at T-Mobile for how poorly they handled this promo. I really can make use of this additional line for someone in my family who needs a new line. After a couple weeks when their Mint plan runs out, hopefully I can easily move the eSIM line.

If one requests a physical sim, does the promo apply right away, or when one sticks a physical sim in a phone and uses it?

If you're not planning on making any charges to your plan or haven't made any changes that might disqualify you, take a chance and do it yourself online or in the app. If it doesn't sow up as promo, just cancel the new line

I'm on Magenta Max and was denied thrice. My plan is $30 for every additional line and this is what I saw when adding the line. After adding a new esim line, I got a text in 10 mins that a promo was added to my account. I could also see it in my account.

After I went to the next part it told me I had $30 monthly, that's because I'm on the One (9-12) plan. It's $20 monthly on the up to 8 plan.

iPhone 14 only uses a eSim. I'm already using an eSim and since the phone is capable of a dual eSim and I didn't have a 2nd phone lying around I decided to give it a try.

No, T-Mobile didn't tell me I was eligible. I was told I wasn't eligible through multiple channels.

Read the last couple of pages in this thread. I added a line by myself online and got the promo added within 10 mins. I was denied the promo thrice on chat and when I called. You could try your luck

Thanks, I noticed people were reporting success. I do have esim so it can be easy to try. What was your plan in case the promo didn't come through? Were you going to cancel the new line?

I did not have anything on my account prior to adding the line that indicated I was eligible.
To verify you received the promo AFTER you added the line...

For the website:
1. Log into your account.
2. Click on "Account"
3. Go to Plan Details by clicking on your plan name with the monthly amount.

It will show under the applied discounts as the very last line item.

You should also receive a text saying "Congrats! You will receive your promotional service discount from T-Mobile as long as you maintain eligibility." roughly 15 minutes after you activate.

The plan seems irrelevant. There have been folks on all sorts of plans that seemed to have it work. I was told on a prior call it's eligible for all plans but it's not showing up on the accounts yet. (Post #381) but I wasn't eligible until it showed on my account. It took me until today to gather the guts to give it a try.

So you just checked the "eSIM" when choosing between physical sim and esim and kept going? Or did you have to go on your phone in settings and find out what the eSIM or second eSIM # was?

Nice. 9-12 is the superior plan also as your bill should be even cheaper.

Despite all Tforce agents and most app chat agents saying I don't qualify, I decided to give it a shot.

The promotion shows up under services. Although, I'm not sure if it's a bug or not. It doesn't show under my plan details yet. I believe there is a good number of people who are seeing the promo even though they were told they weren't eligible.

Additionally, one promotion under plan details disappeared. I'm not too worried about that though as I think a similar thing happened to me from previous LOU promos.
How does the plan become cheaper? I added the 10th line....amount didn't change at all. Im on magenta.
