Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Actually my BOGO promotion is not applied but T-Mobile will have to honor it as convo was on recorded line with the rep. I will also ask for credit for screwing up my account so win-win for me for sure as they want me as a customer with 11 lines now.
Recorded in a convo or even chatted on T force means NOTHING. this will not end well for you and you will have to waste a LOT of time contacting them.

Similar situation happened to me, all documented, and it was their error in telling me wrong information, but there is really nothing they can do about it (except temporarily give some credit for a few months). I had 9 lines at the time.

For those that ordered a SIM and are still waiting to see the promotion show up on their account, I just received this message from T-Force...

"Hey there! Thanks for circling back with us on that offer and the expectations to make sure you have everything taken care of to receive your free line.

This offer is a limited time offer and has had a huge response but our system and process is still the same for this offer as our other promotions. For you, that means that 2-3 days after SIM arriving you can expect to see promotion enrollment messages. Because we are still in non business hours, what you are seeing is totally normal and exactly what we expect.

After the promotion enrollment messages, you will start seeing bill impact within 1-2 bills and any missed credits will be retroactively added so you get full credit for that. I hope this helps to clarify! Let me know if you have additional questions."
We'll have to wait and see. I received my sim and activated it more than 24 hours ago but no promotion showing up under my account and my total cost has gone up. I did get the text about promotion enrollment. But not reflected in my account.

Can someone please help me with this? So TForce confirmed that my account is eligible

To avoid paying the $35 fee, wiki says

"DCC fee of $35 will be charged. Unless you do the Self-Service add a device or line BYOD esim option under My Account on your own, after confirming you are eligible."

Why does it say esim? I need a physical sim, can I just get that?

And is the attached the right way to do it? thank you for your help

I seriously want to leave T-Mobile just for these bullshit promos. It should not be this complicated. We shouldn't have to do their employees's jobs. I don't understand why no one knows what plans are eligible.. what accounts are eligible.. etc.

I joined years back and brought my OG pixel. I am on the One plan with One Plus Promo and insider hookup. Every time there is some kind of promo or deal I just sit back and can't take advantage of anything because they never lay out the details. Some people get lucky and find the right reps.. others try and try and can't get anything but BS customer service trying to get you to switch plans.

Is there ANYONE that is on the T-Mobile One Plan (with one plus promo) with a SINGLE line.. that was able to get this free line promo added? If so how because I would really like to try and get it and T-Force and they in app chat are no help. They just give me a generic response and keep trying to push me to the Magenta plans

No, you can't use one of the trade in promos. That will cancel the line.
Buy a phone off amazon.com or ebay.com

On a T-Mobile one 9-12 plan... this would be line 11, I have about 6 free lines ?

T-Mobile messenger says...
I'm going to do it... the line sits at $30 charge.

My SOC is TIULFM9

Hello P**. As a thank you this holiday season, you are absolutely eligible for this awesome, limited-time offer. Please, enjoy this gift of one free voice line. 🎁

Just a few things you will need to know for your order:
-The SIM is free.
-To keep the promotion you cannot cancel any voice lines for at least 12 months.
-You will see a service charge for the line, then a credit to offset the charges for the promotion.
-The offer is not currently combinable with any device offers, enrolling in one on this line will drop the credits.
-All of your current service and device offers will remain intact, the new promotion will enroll in addition to those.
-There may be a one-time $35 Device Connection Charge plus any applicable taxes due today to get you this free line for life!

This offer is available to you online and in any of our retail store locations! In order to snag up your free line right now everything is right at your fingertips here: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...id=hw_send Follow the steps to add a new line with your own device and/or a free physical SIM we will send to you!

Please, be aware you will not see any indicators online for the offer as you proceed with your order. There also may be a delay in order processing due to high demand, we will email you as soon as your order is complete. I have already confirmed your eligibility which means the promotion will enroll automatically, there is no need to reach back out! We've got you covered.
I believe I have the same SOC but the problem I've run into is 12 voice lines already used up - I don't think I can get any more without opening another account.

If you have another line on your account that is currently available for an upgrade juts use that one. If you try using the free Bring Your Own Device line it will very likely not go through or mess up something because it is a BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE line. But you can always risk it as T-Mobile's system is all messed up too. If you do try it let us know how it ends.

Was told my account was ineligible via app chat, Twitter and Facebook.
Placed order for physical sim on 12/16, received shipping confirmation and text saying I will be getting promotional discount.

Discount also showing in account under service promo.
Wait they said your account was no eligible and you still got the free line added? I am in the same boat and not sure what to do.

Do you know if it is somehow possible to swap the numbers between the free and paid lines. I am asking because I have a free line from many years back which is not used much and it has kickback on it but it doesnt get the kickback discount as it is already free.
Whereas the paid line also has kickback and can get that discount but it is heavily used, so doesnt stay below 2GB

thanks
You can put both lines on one phone and use the data from the free line and then you collect the kickback on the paid line.On the phone you can set which line to use for data and whether fallback to the other line for data is allowed or not.

Supposedly they didn't intend this to be a public promo and it was supposed to be a secret and people would randomly find out when doing a transaction online or reaching out to customer service for some other random problem they had. Then customers service would see the promo and give the delightful surprise to the customer that they got a free line.

But supposedly someone leaked the promo. To me it sounds like pure BS as there was even a flyer for this promo provided to one of the news site and the news site learned about it 1 or 2 days before it went live. That makes me think that it was very very likely leaked intentionally.

This works out a lot for T-mobile as there are no official terms or official promises that someone can use as documents to make a claim against them. They can even drop all those free lines and there is not much customers can do as there is nothing backing up anything.

SINGLE lines do not qualify for this promo and all the previous free line promos. One needs two lines in the plan.

Yeah, there are a bunch of people on Magenta Max, T-mobile One, and only so far 1 case of simple choice that were told no by Customer Service but went ahead and ordered the line online anyways and got the free line. Search this thread and reddit.
