Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

I seriously want to leave T-Mobile just for these bullshit promos. It should not be this complicated. We shouldn't have to do their employees's jobs. I don't understand why no one knows what plans are eligible.. what accounts are eligible.. etc.

I joined years back and brought my OG pixel. I am on the One plan with One Plus Promo and insider hookup. Every time there is some kind of promo or deal I just sit back and can't take advantage of anything because they never lay out the details. Some people get lucky and find the right reps.. others try and try and can't get anything but BS customer service trying to get you to switch plans.

Is there ANYONE that is on the T-Mobile One Plan (with one plus promo) with a SINGLE line.. that was able to get this free line promo added? If so how because I would really like to try and get it and T-Force and they in app chat are no help. They just give me a generic response and keep trying to push me to the Magenta plans
I hear you, a few years back I participated in some promo and wasted months trying to get me bill right afterwards. Every month, a random bill amount, I remember took like 11 months to get that sorted. They will give stop gap credits and then take them back. They have no clue whats happening with their promotins

SINGLE lines do not qualify for this promo and all the previous free line promos. One needs two lines in the plan.
That's what the OP says but there are tons of people in this thread and Reddit who had a single line and got the promo and free line added.. that's the frustrating part

Do you know if it is somehow possible to swap the numbers between the free and paid lines. I am asking because I have a free line from many years back which is not used much and it has kickback on it but it doesnt get the kickback discount as it is already free.
Whereas the paid line also has kickback and can get that discount but it is heavily used, so doesnt stay below 2GB

thanks
if ur on 9 to 12 line plan, kickback $10 will show up if usage is less than 2gb on that line

Wait they said your account was no eligible and you still got the free line added? I am in the same boat and not sure what to do.
Yup. If I ended up not getting the promo I would've just canceled the line. On simple choice plan as well

That is what drove the 2019 bill system update from what I recall, to try to avoid those issues but I doubt it fixed anything.

I have a question in case one has to cancel a line in the plan
Whats the worst outcome if you have to cancel a line in the plan? I guess this new free line will become paid as well, right? And if I dont need this free line at that time, I can cancel that as well, correct?

Do you by any chance know what is the SOC plan code for your Simple Choice plan?

This is what I got from TForce, what BS??

You may have the option of going through self-service to add the line thus activating a self-service Device Connection Charge waiver, regrettably, there is no guarantee that the promotion will continue to apply to the line.

They cant even trust their own system, bunch of donkeys

After 12 months very likely nothing will happen. Before 12 months then yes to what you said.

Thank you. So Tforce confirmed that my account has hte promo. Do you think it is safe to just do a self service order for a new line with physical SIM? it is showing me $0 total for day and $20 monthly charge (the price of adding a new line to the plan).

Worst case, if promo doesnt apply/work, I guess I can simply cancel the line, right?

TForce is usless and telling me this

Thank you for hanging in there with me. At this time, the 2022 Holiday Unwrap offer cannot be combined with a Device Connection Charge waiver.

You mean like using a phone that supports dual SIM? thank you
Yes, most phones do that these days, say one eSIM and one physical one most phones can do that.

was told my account was ineligible via app chat, twitter and facebook.
Placed order for physical sim on 12/16, received shipping confirmation and text saying i will be getting promotional discount.

Discount also showing in account under service promo.
This is the way!!!

*But not for any Discounted plans; ie, 55+, any Military plans, etc. who won't qualify/be eligible for sure.
