I'm on ONE plan and called and CSR couldn't find anything.
Started chat with agent with app and got it immediately.
I didn't have the phone I wanted to activate with so I just asked for sim card in the mail, I had to give credit info but it didn't charge anything. Maybe it'll charge it when I get the sim card and activate?

Has anyone who has successfully had the promo code added in their account promotions ALSO seen the discount reflected in the monthly pricing yet? This seems to be the missing piece of the puzzle….
My discount is now reflecting in my monthly pricing (a couple hours later from adding the line)

I have a grandfathered plan, "BIZ SC UNL TT". Chat client confirmed I could get the free line, but I had to go into a store to activate the line. In store, after waiting on hold for a while, they were able to add the free line Smilie ; just had to pay the $35 activation fee. I was able to port my son's Mint Mobile number to the new T-Mo plan while on site, I just came prepared with the porting info (you contact Mint support) and it was all completed quickly.

Thanks OP for finding this! Saved me ~$150 for the new line for 2023!

Worked for me! Magenta max with insider discount. 3 paid lines and now 5 free lines. Able to see the new free line under service promos. 8 lines on magenta max for $136. People have better deals, but I'm happy with it.
How did you manage to get 5 free lines?

I am also on Magenta Max with insider discount. I have 5 lines for $136 (3 paid and 2 free)

Well I was shot down via chat (t-mobile app) twice. Shot down via T-Force yesterday. Shot down via 611 today. Added a line anyway (and had to do it via phone call as I have a pending home internet line added and can't make any changes online). Rep specifically told me I wasn't eligible before adding the line. Added with SIM card that I already had lying around here to see if the discount would apply. It immediately applied.

My plan:
FRLTULF2 T-Mobile One
TM1PROMO One Plus Promo on all lines except the new line (will try to add later to the new line)
21Q14S 2021 Line On Us 6
AALPROMOS This One's on Us (AAL)
2022HINTP10
and now 2022 BYOD Line P1

Not only does the free line show in my account, I just got this text message 20 minutes after the call ended. "Congrats! You will receive your promotional service discount from T-Mobile as long as you maintain eligibility. View t-mo.co/activity for account details."

I just got my SIM card in the mail. For the free line, can I use the same SIM card in different phones? (Not at the same time obviously) But if I put it in a 6s plus today, I can put it in an iPhone 8 next week and it would be fine? No issues moving the card around?

Have it all you wanted. Just don't cancel any lines within 12-month.

Thanks. Figured as much. On the chat she asked for my device details. Probably just to see if I needed a physical SIM card or not.

Quick question for you please, does the SIM card already has a number associated with it?
Im wondering if any sort of "activation" is needed on receiving the SIM card

thanks

Called in, they said eligible, went for it.
Got the confirmation that the SIM has been ordered, but I do not see a new line of the promotion added to the account.
How soon should I be able to see it?

My account show a number already added. Not sure if I even need to do anything but figured it was safest to activate the sim too.

Here's another interesting datapoint. I think T-Mobile might have screwed up my account. I was on magenta max with a total of 8 lines (4 paid and 4 free) paying $160 mthly. On 12/15 (Thur) I added the new free line promo. On 12/16 it shows that my plan changed to magenta max 9L and the add a line promo was removed for my existing lines. I hope this is a just temporary glitch. I'll probably wait a few days prior to reaching out to them.
