Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

same here. how much are you paying for your 4 lines SC?
Already had a free (4th) line from few years ago. Final bill now comes out to around $117 after taxes with my corporate discount. Paying about $9 in taxes per line so expect it to be $128 now with the 5th line. How bout you?

For some reason autopay discount fell off my plan cost estimation after adding this line (was also told ineligible). Did that happen to you?
I heard the internet home discount can not stack with insider discount. Autopay only applicable for total 8 lines. Line number 9 will not have autopay

Did you do esim or physical sim? I'm on SC 10gb upgraded to unlimited for 4 lines and 2 free lines. I'm thinking of just going online and activating a new line on my iphone 11 with esim and see if it shows up. Will canceling be a hassle if it doesn't go through? i called 611 and told i didn't qualify then on t-force told the same went in store and also told no. But some people are adding the line online with esim and are getting the promotion even though they were told no multiple times.
I did eSim. That has nothing to do with getting you the promo if T-Mobile tells you you're not eligible; the truth is a lot of CSRs don't know how to check if you're eligible . If your account is eligible, going the eSim route saves you $35 and based on those who got the promo, you will find out within minutes if you're eligible.

With that said, if your account is eligible (predetermined), regardless of what the CSRs or T-force say, you will get it any way you order (sim card, eSim, w/ T-Mobile help, etc). In my case, it doesn't look good since I did eSim add 2 days ago and no promo text or promo indication under my account. I will wait for my next bill cycle (in 6 days) to really know (unless they text me or it shows up under my account by then); if it's not free I'm canceling. I don't really need this line so I'm not going to beg (lol) or complain to them, chances are they will screw up my plan, and that's the last thing I want

My account - Magenta 1.0 is eligible but there was some errors when I tried to add this promotion via chat and calling. I went to T-Mobile store today and they were able to add this promotion to my account. I had to pay $35 activation fee but I'm going to chat with T-Mobile tforce to credit that fee.

Were you able to add the Promo code while checking out
I tried adding promo code at checkout and keep getting message "promo code was unsuccessful"

Quote from bkmartin :
I tried iMessage chat yesterday and I was told I was not eligible. Just now (20m ago), I added it anyway on the website using eSIM based on the other success messages on here. After activating the eSIM, I got a text message saying "Congrats! You will receive your promotional discount from T-Mobile as long as you maintain eligibility" and the new Line has the 2022 BYOD Line P1 promotion listed on the promotions account page. The bill still shows as being $20 higher for the moment, but I assume that will correct itself. I'm on SOC TM1TI2 (TMobile One). I have 2 other free lines on my account from 2020 promotions.

2h update: The account overview page now shows the promotional credit and my monthly bill is the same

My account history shows nothing yet regarding the new line. Usually it shows that a new line was added and when it was added. Last time I added a new line through T-Force although the line was activated and working one one day it took several hours to show up on my history and the log said that it was activated the day after I talked to T-Force as if it was activated passed midnight. That part concerns me a little bit as it my get logged that this one was added on the 20th. But whatever, this was all taking a gamble as I was told not elegible several times and my SOC USCFM4 has not been elegible for the recent free line promos either.

So far I saw one post on reddit of someone that waited 2days for the promo to show up. My last promo took 7 days to show up. I give this promo aslo a week or so for a chance to show up, if nothing then cancel and wait at least 90 days for the next promo 😁
Good luck to us both 🤞. I'm giving myself a week. The only risk we face for canceling a line is perhaps disqualifying ourselves from a phone deal coming up in which they require you don't cancel a line in the last 90 days but if I remember correctly that's not for phone deals but only free lines deals, though a few have gotten this deal canceling a line less than 90 days recently

Did you call to get the free line? Or chat? I am waiting for a call back. Got magenta business plan. Not sure why they have the restriction for adding lines myself. I can do it for personal but not business? Employees don't know the PIN/Password. The owner does. WTH. Thx

Thanks. I hope i get someone competent and confirm it correctly. Several folks went ahead added to their personal acct and it worked even though the rep said their accts were ineligible.

Repped.

I don't have corp discount but I pay 120/4lines plus taxes which brings me to $140 a month.

Interesting. Maybe I should add a line and try anyways. I'm out a few bucks if so. Tonight is the last day of the promotion, right?

For those who signed up via phone call, did you receive a DocuSign email for you to sign electronically?
I also did it via phone call yesterday. I was told that a DocuSign email was going to be sent to me also. I'm still waiting....

I added a line yesterday, 12/18, at 7:00 am. I made mistake of requesting a physical SIM instead of using an eSIM but I was not in hurry.

My problem is as of now, my order is still processing or "running" as it shows in status. Line has not been added yet. My concern is that if it does not get added today, and the promo actually ends today, I may not get the free line.

Has anyone tried cancelling the order for adding a line? I am thinking of trying to cancel the order and place a new one tonight using an eSIM. That may be asking for trouble though!!
Quote from northvolt :
You'll be fine. Don't cancel your pending order. As long as you placed the order within the promotion period and your account is eligible, the line will be free.
Quote from hoopsfan888 :
I wouldn't worry about it. I think it's based more on when you placed the order.
I would expect that the SIM card should get added to your account sometime tonight.

I ordered mine on Thursday morning and around late Thursday night it got added to my plan. I didn't receive the tracking information until Friday afternoon/night.

Plus if you do cancel it, it's far more likely they'll view your cancelled order as a cancelled line and you'll need to restart it just to get this promo

IMO, youre best off just waiting and I think everything will be fine.

.

Couple of years ago I added a free line on the last day and the number didn't show up until the SIM shipped after the promo ended.

No discount showed up automatically.

Had to send screenshots of my order confirmation with the date in order to convince T-Force to add the discount to my line.
