Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

I tried friday, saturday, Sunday to get the 9th line on magenta Plus.

Finally on monday, this is what I was told

"My supervisor got back to me regarding the request I sent for the rate plan change to go from the current Magenta Plus plan to the 9+ lines version of the same Magenta Plus plan, and she was unable to make that change, as we determined it would require an even higher tier of leadership to be able to make that change. We are trying to work on that now, but I did want to give you the heads up that Magenta MAX would be the same cost to you if you wanted to go that route instead, which I can get set up for you right away if you're interested in going that route. 😊 ^NatalieKelm"

The discount on the new line doesn't even show up, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that maybe the discounts will be added.

I just don't think that's very likely.
Damn, double whammy. This is why it's not worth doing anything risky to your plan (especially legacy ones) just to get a free line, one in which most of us don't even need. Like I said before when I chat or call to ask if I'm qualified, just ask question; if they said no, hang up and don't let them attempt to get it for you; if they say yes you have to make sure they won't do anything to your existing plan. That's the reason I always like to do the ordering on my own. With that said, good luck to you. I wouldn't worry about the free line at this point; try to get your old plan and discounts, etc back

So I added the line via the eSim method and it's been 4 days and no promo. I'm going to cancel it 2 days before my next bill cycle (Sun) if I don't get it. Don't know if they prorate a monthly line charge so I don't want to wait around longer. Just based on my past experience and that of others, promo notification / indication from text or on your account usually appears when the sim card ships or right away using the eSim method. Don't really need this line so I don't want to waste too much time on it

Read on some other thread that if you remove auto-pay and then add it back it can trigger the system to calculate your bill again and might expedite the code showing up. I have not tried it myself and I think is a very YMMV.

Btw, yes the bill will be prorated for the days you had the line. Is up to the rep that is closing the line if wants to offer a waiver or not. You can ask nicely and see if they will.

I had the promo code on my account since 5 minutes after ordering the new line on esim, but the discount was not reflected on my account monthly due amount. I removed then readded autopay and it updated successfully! Worth a shot for anyone else just waiting. BTW I was told I was not eligible by two reps before just ordering the new line on my own.

Yeah, I made a bonehead move and followed a Reddit's recommendation to remove the data option (10GB SMHS) in my plan and add it back to get the system to "update" (similar to your suggestion). Except once I removed it there was no option to add it back 🤦. I'm not going to call / chat to fix it unless I know I get the line for free, lol. Anyways that's where I'm at and it doesn't look promising. So be warned that if you play around with your line just to get the system to update, you can end up like me. But I'm almost ready to give up. I actually have one free line from 2020 I'm not even using. My SO won't leave her Verizon Wireless so I'm saving it for her when I can convince her and port hers to it; guys, we're cheap but don't mess with your woman's stuff, her phone service is one of them

Edit: I removed and added the autopay. My total on my account shows $20 more for the new line. So yeah, not looking good

Yeah ordered the 19th, had the line showed up yesterday and got the sim today but no promo shows up on the account yet.
I just wasted an hour, 611 idiots couldnt even find the promotion, asked for a supervisor, who seemed to be on drugs and couldnt even find my account for 20 minutes. Freak show over there
I pinged twitter 2 hours ago, got a reply saying wait 1-2 months. So lets see. Not wasting any more time on this

This promotion is still on. Called T-Mobile last night and was able to add the additional line for free.
Expired on 19th. So if you added it on 20th then you will find out later in the bill

I ordered on 18th, I received it today no alerts or promo applied. Rep says it's there on two occasions. I'm not too worrried since the LOU lines appeared magically later in the month. I think this should be the same I'm hoping

Anyone else who placed the physical SIM order online (self service or with rep) and then had the SIM shipped and line added on the 20th?
The promotion is still not showing on the account.
For me -
18th: confirmed via chat on the app that I was eligible for "the free line promo" then added it a new line myself

20th: new line with phone number is listed, but no discount appears in the promo section. Sim has not shipped

21th (today): Sim hasn't shipped and still no promo applied

Haven't gotten a text to confirm the promo has been successfully applied either, but hoping after the Sim is shipped or is in use this changes

As per the rep, they were still honoring the promotion. I guess will get to know in few days.

A question for those who requested a Sim Card.

How do they send the Sim Cart to you? USPS, Fed Ex, UPS, other?

I want to make be on the lookout for my Sim Card.
Mine came UPS 2nd Day. Arrived this morning.

I just called the tmobile for a different matter, and the rep mentioned that I'm eligible for the free extra line. She also kindly waived the $35 fee (need to charge first, and later credited it back) as being a long time loyal customer.
She said it may take an extra bill cycle to reflect the free price.

Well this is really frustrating. After the CSR told me a couple days ago that I qualify for this and added a line, I find out it's a data tablet line she added! Grrrr. "SC 6GB Data & SMHS". WTF
