Seems okay and a decent price. Beyond meat is now about $5/lb and the flavor is fricken incredible. So I think I will stick with that. 5 years ago I would have probably jumped on this deal.

But remember, this is dehydrated, so it will yield much more than 2.5 lbs!

The label says 1 cup dehydrated "is equivalent to 1 pound cooked beef", meaning this can is equivalent to 10 pounds of cooked beef. That means about $1.50/lb

Where are you getting Beyond meat for that cheap? On walmart, it's 9.68/lb for the ground beef. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Beyond...hbdg=L1200

That's highly misleading, take your BS carnist propaganda elsewhere. This is a forum for deal discussion.

I'm curious why people try to mimic something they want to eat by matching the taste and texture with a sub-par highly processed "food" product? There's a reason you want/crave the meat... I mean, how many meat-based vegetable substitutes are on the market? See how ridiculous it sounds.

Once some people learn about the effects of the animal industry, they don't want to support it anymore. It has nothing to do with taste or Texture it's just that we are caring more about the planet and the future of humanity than our own personal desires. Food companies have been able to pretty much perfectly mimic the Taste and texture so there's really no reason to put money into an industry that is destroying the planet faster than any other one.
