After you've completed the required days, the promos will be moved from the In Progress column to the Earned column. That's when it's safe for you to cancel your Fi service. In your Fi account, click on Account-->Your Plan. Scroll down until you see Leave Fi, click on it. It will give you options on what to do (cancel, pause, port out etc). Since the 1st bill usually started 2 days after your service was activated, the 61st day should be 2 or more days before the 3rd billing period starts. Cancel promptly on the 61st day and you won't be charged the 3rd bill.

you don't have to since even iphone 8 or SE 2nd gen @$150 will suffice ($600-200-250-150). If you want Pro then iphone 11 is enough since it fetches $330 as trade in ($900-300-250-330).

In case useful for anyone, here is an update regarding activation of the phone with a physical sim bought from Amazon. Easily activated, activation checkmark in the account within a few hours. Countdown started. I took the sim out the next day and countdown continued. The next day, I put a different non-Fi sim card for 5 minutes in the phone and made a couple of calls and took it out to see if that affects the countdown, which didn't.
I appreciate you posting this, as I was about to ask about the same. I received my first phone today, and am now thinking of ordering more. Did your $10 credit with the AMZN sim post to your account w/o a hassle?

After the phone is activated with the secondary google account used for sign up, can we reset the phone and use the primary account?

Also, are you guys able to apply the referral code?

Thanks. One last question. Was the tax on the full price of the phone or on the reduced $50 price?
There was actually no tax charged at all. Weird I know!

OK, hopefully last stupid question from me: you can earn a referral by having others join. Your plan gets cheaper by adding others to your plan. Can I do both - refer others, have them join my plan, and all of us (me, myself, and I) earn bonuses?

Well, pixel2022 code no longer working. At least when I tried to add a second line to an existing plan.

[added] worked when starting new account.

I activated via eSIM and my checkmarks and days remaining counters are properly showing for both the $200 and $250 promos.

Can anyone confirm if my checkmarks / days remaining counters will reset if I put in a physical SIM card from another carrier while still maintaining the active Google Fi eSIM? I just want to use a physical SIM card for data, fine with using the Google Fi eSIM for calls and texts.

Thanks.
It worked fine for me. I was a little skeptical of the whole process but so far it's all worked well for me. I have another to activate today for a family member and hoping for the same.

I activated with eSIM 12/23 transferring a google voice number (on same google account as Fi). Checkmarks and counters were correct the next day. After giving it a few days to make sure all seemed good, yesterday I decided to add my primary carrier physical SIM to the phone. Just simply popped it out of old phone and placed in new Pixel. I made the physical SIM primary for everything and used it all day yesterday as my daily use phone. All seems fine, count down is still working.

Of course. I'll report back tomorrow night.
Any luck? I have escalated via normal CSR and Reddit. Still no change in terms of not recognizing the activation via eSIM all the way back in Dec 22.

Negative, all the trouble shooting I did was a failure! CSR can't seem to be helpful. I also did a help/support through Reddit since one of the comments claims they got the problem fixed after social media CSR from Reddit got it fix. But according to the CSR from last night I shouldn't be worried since everything is being documented but who knows. I do have the email with activation on Dec 22, and emails from CSR with chat logs. Now waiting for a response.

Finally they shipped my phone 5 days after ordering.
Tracking shows UPS 2nd day air, but it is coming through ground transport.

Sorry to hear about that.

I had the same problem with my Pixel 7 - activated via eSIM, system didn't think the phone was activated, two devices showing up in my account, etc.

It took two chat sessions before my issue was escalated to a specialist in the promo department. Someone finally looked into it and sent me a "one time exception" of some sort, and it's finally sorted.
