I purchased a version of this monitor recently. This is 34WQ60C-B.AUS. I bought 34WQ73A-B for $340.

The main difference from what I can tell is that the 73A has USB-C video port with power delivery, a KVM, and 2 USB inputs. The panel is fine for office work, but the real benefit here is being able to charge my laptop, pass video, and use my keyboard/mouse with a single cable into my laptop.

If you can wait, I'd bet we'll see the 73A under $340 again.

The software kvm is the same thing as dual controller. The other monitor does have height adjustment. The quality in these new model makes me worry. I got the other monitor and already had issues with the screen after a few hours. After a few days, the screen doesn't supply a constant charge to the laptop during sleep. So i wonder if the power supply will crap out. These 2 monitors probably have the same screen.

Just gonna keep wallowing in my sadness. I should of just waited Frown

The other issue is at least this one seems to have a VESA 100x100 mount.

The 34WQ73A-B has a weird stand mounting so looks like I'm going to have to spend $35 or so to get a decent steel vesa adapter (I dont trust the $25 3D printed adapters on etsy. Monitor is already heavy enough, why cheapen out on the adapter.)

fwiw I got the LG 34" gaming monitor and paired it with the monoprice $75 heavy duty monitor desk arm. The desk arm allows the monitor to rotate 90 degrees which is nice for office style use as if give you 3 pseudo "stacked" monitors vertically.

I had this exact experience with the LG 34WQ75C-B model. The 90W PD USB-C works great until it stops charger a laptop that's asleep. I'm not sure how to get around that….

The dual input controller is NOT the same thing as a KVM. How could this have a KVM with no USB ports?

The dual unit controller allows you to plug in multiple video inputs simultaneously and utilize picture by picture. A KVM allows you to switch your attached peripherals between those inputs.

I believe that is a OS setting. Sounds like your computer is sitting down the USB ports to save save power on Sleep mode. Try updating your detailed power settings.

Do you call it neck breaker? I use to run quad 27s and remember my neck tapping out regularly if I didn't abandon posture, enable old people sizing, and lean back hard. I've been using a single 34" ultra wide and a 24" portrait for a few years and it's my sweet spot. YMMV

KVM stands for "Keyboard, Video, Mouse." It's basically a controller that allows you to plug all you peripherals into the device and then dynamically choose which output will receive the signals.

I currently have a work laptop plugged into the USB-C port and a private laptop plugged into the HDMI and USB-B up ports, with my keyboard and mouse plugged into the monitor

I can assign the Keyboard and Mouse output so that when I switch the video input the keyboard and mouse also switch to the other machine.

Here is a hardware KVM that might make the concept more clear. https://www.amazon.com/Switcher-S...B082K87B87

At 60Hz this is not for gaming at all. By today's standard it's not great for work either.
For asking price of 300 dollars it's not a good deal.

Only thing is the curvature and personally I hated curved displays. It causes headaches.

It is not. I leave a MacBook plugged in all the time and never had it start and stop charging before switching to the monitor. It also doesn't do it for the first couple of days. I also had the monitors replaced once and both of them did the same thing, where it starts doing the start and stop charging after a few days.
