This is a better deal $20 cheaper (https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/t/16290541) if you don't care about refurb. I bought one and came in an Apple refurb box.

Because Amazon has a different business model than Apple.

Amazon uses their smart home products to gather info and/or sell you more product on their website. They also subsidize their retail business with AWS, where they charge developers that build apps (for things like your smart home products).

Apple makes money from selling you hardware and software.

In for one for pick up today and during check out noticed a $10 reward waiting for me. Not bad at $74 with tax. Thx OP

In form factor they are completely different. The Pill is a portable BT speaker. The HomePod mini is portable, but must be plugged into a wall outlet.

Sound-wise probably similar, though I've never done a side by side comparison. Both are mono and biased toward bass. The sound on them is rather isolated unless you pair them with a 2nd speaker to make them stereo. Then they have fill out a small room OK.

Also just bought one from Refurb Ebay. Came in a generic cardboard box and had to reset it (hold your finger on the top til the lights turn red). It was in great condition though.

Would recommend buying from there instead of paying an extra 20 from Best Buy.

I got one these last year from Costco for 80. But during this year version had them on sale for 60 and I was able to swoop in. I dunno I would probably wait. I think they are a steal at the 60 price range. If you can hold off
