This is an awesome package. 6800h is great and the igpu is awesome. I'd totally get if I didn't recently buy a Zephyrus G14.

The website warns that going to 32gb won't allow you to pick the OLED screen, but it's not in the options anyways…

Upgrading to 32GB memory and 1TB is $842. Not bad.

those are intel cpu though, compares to the 680m on 6800H, the graphic performance is day and night, 680m is on par with GTX 1650, and the intel cpu prob ran out of battery in 3 hours, 6800h can do 10+ hours while still have a iGPU double the performance of intel iris xe

I'm not too worried. I just want to order the thing. Lenovo says my credit card number is invalid, the credit card company says it's fine. Guess it just wasn't meant to be.
Tried a different card and declined. Seems to be on Lenovo's side. It's literally impossible for me to buy this thing. Guess I'll wait for another deal.

Got a hold of Lenovo and they put a block on me from ordering. They are emailing their security team and will let me know if they are going to allow me to buy it. This is wild. I'm not even sure if I want it anymore. I just want to see where this goes now.

AMD's next-gen laptop CPU's (Ryzen 7000 Dragon Range and Phoenix) are just around the corner. There'll be plenty of deals through out the year. At least another 25% off current deals by BF.

A few more came in stock (thanks @joesong1989 !!) and I just ordered it. I think you sold this deal short ! it has a better CPU Ryzen 9 6900HS, 32GB DDR5, 1 TB SSD, GEForce 3050 discrete GPU, 400nits 3K screen. Only drawbacks I see are no HDMI and no SD card reader. The other weird thing is that the seller has what looks like the same laptop, also refurbished, for a few hundred $ more - which makes me think this might be a price error, but I might be missing something. Thanks again for sharing! Hope it turns out well for us!

But by then you'll have posted: "AMD's next-gen laptop CPU's (Ryzen 8000 Monster Plateau) are just around the corner. There'll be plenty of throughout the year. At least another 25% off current deals by next BF."

I'm not sure why this HP Aero is not getting more love:

https://slickdeals.net/f/16320505-hp-pavilion-aero-laptop-13-3-wuxga-ryzen-5-5625u-512gb-ssd-16gb-ddr4-600-free-shipping

Only slightly worse specs in my opinion, and weighs less than 2.2lbs; gets great reviews. After the mentioned discount, an edu discount, and 20% off through my Capital One credit card (not Capital One Shopping), this comes out to about $430. Without the edu discount, it's still less than $500. And with only the standard HP sale discount, it's $580.

300 nits of screen brightness is an atrocity.

There's a significant difference in iGPU performance between 5000 and 6000 series. Also, this ThinkBook has the more powerful H-series processor, vs U-series in the HP. My big concern with HP is the Realtek wifi, which is awful - and HP's consumer PCs are typically not easy to open up. I had an Envy a few years ago that required you to first remove two rubber strips to get to the screws, and once removed those things could never go back how they were.

In this price range, you typically get either a higher-resolution but dimmer screen, or a brighter one at FHD/FHD+. If there's a laptop with similar specs and a better display, then please share the link.
