Thanks for sharing. Not sure why this is getting downvoted when the same deal was front page a few weeks ago. That one expired, but now the deal is back.

I bought an Echelon a year ago but a friend is looking. I sent him this deal. Thanks!

What is your opinion on the bike? Does it work well? Been looking at Ecehlon and Nordictrack

not an expert but from first glance it seems to have motorized resistance (so it can be controlled by apps?) but it is locked to the echelon system without jailbreak.

No pedals that work with cycling shoes and heartrate monitor included. Those can be fixed for not much money

Also there are 3lb dumbells with the schwinn which makes it compatible with more kinds of cycling classes

Also schwinn comes with 1 year of subscription and echelon does not. The echelon that is sold at costco is a comparable bike

We have two Echelon Sport bikes. Both have been used extensively over the last two years or so. No issues whatsoever. Solid build quality, very good performance, and great design (in relative terms).

I paid $500 for this (non-screen) version a year or two ago, and love it. It did come with a 6 month subscription.

This seems like a steal to me.

Does it require continued subscription?

I had the other version of this bike (non-S variant) a couple of years ago. It held up very well, up until the last month of the warranty, in which I snapped a crank arm. They sent a whole new bike to resolve the situation. If you're on the fence this is a great deal on a great bike.

I got this bike on the last post. I've been fairly impressed how well it performs for $300. I did spin classes for a couple of years and this feels not too different from what I've used before. I have no intention of signing up for a paid membership, but the "freestyle ride" mode works fine for me and the advertising isn't too bad in my opinion. I had originally planned to jailbreak the thing to remove the advertising, but it's not bad enough to be worth the time for that.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased. I feel like $300 was a really good price for what this bike is. It's quiet, works well, and wasn't too hard to set up.

Can you explain a bit more what the experience is like without a subscription? Are there full screen ads? Is the screen just used to show workout stats with no classes?

It's a full screen picture of one of the instructors smiling and the name of one of the classes. The picture rotates every 10 seconds or something to another one. At the bottom are the stats (watts, RPM, calories, etc.)
