Definitely worth it after hacking it to use the peloton app. A better platform for half the cost on subscription
How do you hack it?

Link should take you to page 13 of that deal posted. You can follow the easy step by step guide posted by billingsSDer. For the launcher I installed Nova Launcher Instead. You can also download the Amazon appstore from the browser to purchase/install zwift

These are decently well built devices. I have the Echelon Connect 3 which i recently bought used on FB marketplace for like $150.... Don't be fooled into thinking that you need to pay for a subscription to use these bikes. They try to make it sound like you absolutely have to have a subscription, but you don't.

Ive purchased a total of 3 of the Sport models of this bike (basically the same thing sans the monitor) - great bikes. I subscribe to Peloton and do their workouts with my iPad. One note - I assume it applies to this model as well - you'll need this $5 iOS/Android app [apple.com] to read your cadence/resistance from the bike and transmit it to Peloton (if you want to) otherwise you can just use it to monitor your performance/resistance.

It also does a translation between Echelon resistance and Peloton resistance - which is super helpful and seems to be pretty accurate.

I bought this and have been very pleased. It's quiet, feels sturdy, and works well. I got this at Christmas time and have gotten a lot more exercise because it's so convenient.

I don't have any intention of ever subscribing to a workout app whether Peloton or Echelon. I just do the freestyle mode (or whatever they call it). There are ads on the screen for the classes that they sell, but I just ignore them and watch TV/movies while I cycle; I haven't found them to be too annoying or distracting. As others have mentioned there are ways to jailbreak/hack the bike, but I've found that it's not necessary if you just use it as I do.

Good deal. Just a heads up: check CL if you want a Peloton. There are tons for sale in my area all the time. I was able to snag a nearly brand new one for (purchased in 2023) for $300. The COVID home fitness craze is definitely hitting the low point.

Great price. I paid $539.00 in December 2021 for the non tablet version. Makes me mad 😂

Anyone looking to use this with Peloton, be weary of the new plans and price increase. I own this bike and was using Youtube Vanced, but that got shut down, so now I basically don't use the connected tablet.

Can you watch anything else on those monitors, or only subscription exercise workouts videos?

Exactly, I bought it November 2021 for $499+tax without tablet . I felt shame when I see this deal as a senior in slickdeals 🤪

I also own the upgraded Costco version (bigger screen and a few other upgrades). It's been awesome with peloton but it takes persistence and better-than-basic technical abilities to "hack it" to use Peloton, Netflix, etc…

This has been a game changer for me and my wife in that we actually have stuck with exercising on it about 5x a week since Christmas. I never have done that before and was surprised at how much I enjoy Peloton with this bike

The big bummer is we exclusively use Peloton with it and the price is going from $13 a month to about $20ish a month for the same thing. I'm willing to pay the increase because I think the echelon quality is just much worse than Peloton.
