If you play mostly single player games than this would be a pretty solid choice as it would make more sense to trade FPS for better resolution. Multiplayer console gamers would benefit more from a 1440p 144hz which is a great middleground.
The title says 32 inch but it is for 27 inch
Yeah, I was excited to see 32" 4K LG monitor at $300. OP must fix the title.

Thanks, I got this to upgrade an Asus ProArt monitor from 2016 that I use pretty much only for wfh, semi-professional photo editing, and general productivity. I've had my eye on a new Asus ProArt for a while, but I'm giving this one a try. Re: 27" and 4k, this size is just fine for that. I have a ThinkPad Carbon Gen 9 with a much smaller 4k display, and yes it's overkill, but it looks amazing and gives me plenty of room to work, especially vs the non-4k Carbon Gen 6 that it replaced.

I tried a 32" traditional, and a 32 or 34" curved display previously and they were just too big for me. They fit my desk just fine but I didn't like being so immersed in what I was doing. Ymmv.

Any reason you chose this over the newer ProArt models? Color accuracy is important to me.

Didn't Best Buy have a promotion for a similar looking model w/ these same specs [bestbuy.com] on sale for $199 for a better part of a week ago?

This one is LG ultrafine model. It was a product supported by apple. Basically it has a usb-c port other than hdmi and displayport. It's good if you want to connect it to a laptop

Oh ok, fair enough. Good observation.

Pretty much came down to price. I read a few reviews/comparison sites and was satisfied with what I'd found. A new ProArt would have been my 3rd one of those, and I've had good luck with them (in addition to having the ~$450 27" ProArt competitor to this LG one in and out of my Amazon cart several times, especially at that price vs the 'regular' $500).

I've been seriously into photography as a hobby and niche small business (I primarily shoot an unusual subject for a relatively small client base) for over 20 years, so color accuracy is important to me as well, and I was always pleased with it on the 2016 ProArt that I had. But I've been wanting to go to 4K, a newer panel, and otherwise comparable specs/picture quality, so the LG seemed to fit the bill. I've had it several days now, and so far so good. Took about 20-30 mins of tweaking the many settings to get it to where I wanted it, but now I'm very happy with it. I had it side by side with my old Asus and the difference is very noticeable; brighter whites, deeper blacks, colors look just as if not more accurate, and less backlight bleed. Note that I haven't calibrated it with something like a Spyder; I've had several of those but I'm not into that so much anymore. I just want it to look good to my eyes, present my work well, and not cause eye strain (I have brightness turned down quite a bit). I don't care about refresh rate or gaming.

If it stays this way and is reliable, I'm very happy. The only thing I don't care for is the silver-colored stand and rear of the monitor, but I'm against a corner so the back doesn't matter much. Ports are a lot easier to access than my old Asus.

Just bought this last week to pair with my wife's MacBook (she does graphic design). Solid monitor that combines display, USB hub, and charging in one. I was limited in space and 32" would not fit in the desk, so 27" was perfect. Display looks great for the price and I'm happy with the purchase.

Been working on this panel for the past 3 year and I personally think it's the best for a Mac setup unless you get the 5k ultrafine - most folks pitching the 32" 4k ergo forget to mention the trade off with lower nits and DPIs that you'd have with that panel
