This is sorta a repost of the buy $50 in amazon household save $15, but that post may not trigger peoples deal alerts who use this for swimming pools as I do.

I'm not sure if this is a good deal as its more than I normally pay (normally around $12 per 4 pack or $36 for 12) but with inflation this might be a good deal. I'm jumping on it because I use quite a bit of this in my pool.

71.64 - 3x4 pack of boraz
-$15 multibuy discount

$45.89 total before tax

For pools why not just buy boric acid...less change in ph and cheaper.

Where are you buying it for less than 8.7 cents per oz which is what this comes out to before any discounts
(before tax 5.88 cents per oz after discounts when buying 3x 4 pack)

I love this stuff, but I just don't have room for 3 cases. Also, it has been on back order for the past 2 months, so putting it on a multi buy special as soon as it goes back in stock will only make it run out again!

Duda energy, when I bought 55## it was around 6.5 cents /oz including shipping. But this contains almost twice as much equivalent free borates, and only drops your ph slightly (which is more useful for most concrete pool owner over borax which would raise ph massively and then increase ta substantially..)

Why are people comparing acids and bases (literally about 4.5 vs 9)

Yes. But when comparing free borates it's like 11 cents versus 6.5..

Hey! Op here, thanks for your feedback. Im trying to find the most cost effective solution to maintain my pool. Your reminiscing about when you used to buy gas for 10cents a gallon and boric acid for real cheap doesnt help me today. Best deal i could find was $132 for 55# of boric acid (including shipping).
https://www.dudadiesel.com/search...2Bgranular
The deal i posted is about $0.96 per lb of borax. The boric acid at the above location is $2.4 per lb.

If I understand correctly, I need to add about 1.5x the borax (vs boric acid) so bringing it to a price equivalent of about $1.48 per lb. The deal I posted is about 40% cheaper isnt it? I guess some people would factor in the cost of muriatic acid, but honestly im always trying to bring my PH up so i dont have that issue (in fact i have to add baking soda sometimes just to get my PH high enough even after adding borax).

Thanks for any useful feedback you could provide.
