Had little ants in our bathroom, coming out of a light fixture. Apparently the toothpaste residue was enough to draw them in. I used an old ant bait station, cut the top off and filled it with the sugar/borax liquid and within an hour, it was a steady stream of ants and was like this for 2 days. On day 3, there were just a few ants spinning in circles and by the 4th day there was nothing. It was weird once they were gone though. I felt so alone.

I simply add a teaspoon each of borax and powdered sugar in a small plastic container. Leave one or more of these container near ants and "refresh" the mixture if necessary. Depending on the infestation, you will have to do this for several days before the ants disappear!
If I'm not mistaken , ants can have a couple different appetites. If a sugar based borax mixture doesn't work for you, make a peanut butter bases mix. They might go for the peanut butter I'd they're looking more for protein and not sugar.
