That's called anecdotal experience. Are you saying you can point to a actual proof that debunks the claim that chemicals in many toilet tank cleaners damage components in the tank?
This sends the chemical straight to the bowl rather than it sitting in the tank, damaging seals, etc.

Except that it keeps the bromine from damaging the internals of the tank.

I've used tablets with bleach and whatever for decades and never had any issues with any of them causing damage.

Yea but these are better. They don't just sit in your tank messing up your tank internals. It spits the bleach water right into the bowl.

Gots on a S&S sale this past October. I had just put in two new toilets and got these to maintain them. They do a great job keeping the bowl and tank clean.

This. If you use the drop in stuff, just reach in tank and swipe your finger across the flapper seal. Mine has essentially turned to gel. Had to replace that and fill valve

amazon has some sellers with repackaged pool tablets. I found that the mini 1 inch chlorine tabs that I bought for a small pool work. That was before the chlorine shortage, I just use those and it smells much more like a swimming pool.

One drawback is if you have a grandfathered 3 gallon flush toilet model, it eats the tablets quick. but there is nothing like having a good 3 gallon flush. Especially when you live in the rainy midwest and don't have droughts. Luxury at it's finest.
