Harbor Freight has a similar Franklin scaffold for $179.99 after a $60 off coupon for those who are desperate to get one.

These scaffolds have been this price for months… I reluctantly bought 2 in Nov, been waiting all year for the better model to drop in price like it has the past several years, but no dice.
This is a fine price if you need/want, but nothing to get overly excited about. They feel stable enough, I personally would t want to use them stacked, but too much wobble with one for my taste. Maybe the outriggers would sure it up, but I dunno.

If/ when Home Depot is done clearancing Metaltech Baker (yellow label) products, Northern Tool still carries them and their accessories.

A lot of people have said OOS--makes me wonder if clearance means in store only like Lowe's often does.
When I bought 2 for this price back on Nov, they weren't stocked items anywhere near me… had to get them shipped. Man they beat the hell out of those boxes 😂

Saw it in Deerfield, IL marked down to $120 in store. might be worthwhile to check in store.
Do you remember how many there were?

Can I use it for outdoor tree trimming on uneven ground?
Nope, legs aren't adjustable.

Yep or just have someone hold it tbh. But the outriggers ship free and are quite pricey so I'm going to see how it is first.
The stacked height gives it a high and unstable center of gravity. Use the outriggers that is exactly what they are designed for.

Depends how you look at it. I use them for things like this since you can put one side higher than the other. Just have to orient it to make them stable which isn't always possible depending on how uneven the ground is.

I got this to store my wranglers hard top in the summer. Adjust the height and roll it right behind the jeep to make the job a cinch. Still need one more person to help but this scaffold is great for the jeep. Price is amazing too. Good share OP!

I have picked up a couple of these in the last month - one purchased online for in-store (San Diego) pickup for $159 and another purchased a week later online and delivered to my home for $139.

From watching these things, it seems like there is a technical glitch or really bad merchandising or stock management happening. I have seen them fluctuate from $203 (regular price), $159 in store, and $139 online/delivered only.

I have also seen this ordering issue when they went to $139 but a few days later they became orderable again at $139. Really glitchy behavior it seems.

When they were $159, you could choose either local pickup (from store inventory) or delivery. When they went to $139, you could only order it online for delivery (or have it delivered to your store) - even when the local store had units sitting on the floor.

I went to the store to try to buy another unit for $139 and get a price adjustment for my $159 in-store purchase. I got shot down on both.

So maybe keep checking the HD site and see if they become available at $139 again.

I suspect that they will go on sale and available again at some point.

They're really handy BTW. I've used mine for a variety of projects and useful as rolling carts and storage shelves as well as in place of ladders.

Oh and if you need outriggers and don't mind a color mismatch, HD has the Wen outriggers for $100.

Is it the same size as the scaffold bench?

https://metaltech.co/scaffoldbench/index_en.html

Also, anyone know a good place for off-road wheels for doing some work on the outside of my house.

A lot of ice fisherman have been using these work platforms on their smitty sleds lately.

This was $20 on Black Friday 2 years ago. How did it get to $88 dollars? This is not a deal.
