Seems to be legitimately $300 less than other retailers.

Anyone have any clue on the country of origin?

Is this a brand only sold by Sweetwater? Like a house brand? Always loved hollow bodies but this isn't the same D'angelico that started making guitars a hundred years ago...

It's not a house brand, but this model, with the Seymour Duncans, is only sold by Sweetwater

Made in China I presume?
Eastman are made in China but are some of the best guitars around.

Actually there's a Guitar Center one too with the same specs. It looks like the finishes are what are specific to the retailer. The Guitar Center one comes in only a matte walnut finish, it seems. I have the blue one from this thread on order, but I go back and forth if I actually like the matte walnut one more:

It is this matte walnut finish one that is being played in the official D'Angelico demo video:

My bad, I had this confused with the Premier DC XT mini.

I've had this guitar for about a month now and it's really an incredible guitar. I played it side by side against a $2,700 Gretsch G6620T the other day and this guitar actually came out ahead for me in terms of playability. The pickups are slightly hotter than I'd like, but it's literally only my only nitpick about this guitar and it is a matter of preference anyway. The sale is still going on, so if you're on the fence about this, I highly recommend going for it.
