Cracked or peeling?

My ZFlip3 lasted about a year before the peeling at the crease. It's not the screen though, it's the screen protector. I'd look into it again before doing it yourself but when I looked into it people seemed to say "pull it off it doesn't matter" and that's what I did. Never had any issues after that, but I did trade in for a Zflip4 shortly afterwards so it didn't have more than a month or two of use without the screen protector.
My flip 4 screen protector is already peeled at the crack and I'm going to the Samsung experience store this weekend to get it replaced.

My concern was also that if you trade in with no protector they'd deny the trade in. Sounds like you had no problem?

HODL!!! DO NOT PURCHASE, WAIT!!

S21 and S22 gen had slow sales - hence the last few crazy Samsung trade promo at BB - I got s22u for my s21u and $26 out of pocket. I'm sure folks who had the flip 3s did much better.

Samsung.com at one point valued the s20u only $50 less than s21u. And don't even mention the cracked screen deals - some time they traded at the same value as not cracked.

It will be really interesting to see what happens with the s23 lineup. Especially at BB.

Very doubtful they'll goto USB C charging.
Just Google it. The EU law is mandating USB C. So Apple could be greedy and still require US iPhones to have lightning ports.

Hope the s22 ultra trade in is big. They sent some stupid international version of the s22 ultra last year when I chose unlocked that was not compatible with firstnet. This time ill choose ATT so I can get back on firstnet.
Did your international version have 2 physical SIM slots? Seems only the US versions have 1 physical and esim. I actually want a 2 physical SIM one

In what way the camera isn't better than the Pixel? I like the super wide angle lens of the S22 line for taking landscape photos.
I take a lot of pictures of text and the s22u doesn't always take the sharpest pictures, what's funny is turning focus enchancer off helps massively but on the pixel I get a clean picture of text that is sharp everytime.

How? I did the opposite and quite enjoy pixel 7.
I had pixel 1, 2, 3 and liked them all. Got a 6 pro and the modem was bad, got it replaced at launch before we knew the modem was bad in all of them and replacement was still bad. The selfie camera is terrible compared to the pixel 3. Fingerprint reader is not good. Basically all the major complaints people had, I had. After 4ish months of bugs and delayed updates Google did an update that killed my battery life. I had to charge twice a day, that was it for me. Bought a s22u and haven't had any major issues. Google is turning it's version of Android into iOS with limited ability to customize, Samsung you can do so much more with your phone. If it was just one of those things I'd probably stick with the pixels but they are just lacking in so many areas that it just feels like a bad phone.

The cool factor is wearing off, although Samsung is planning to make s23 the last phone and move to folding and flip phones... Let's see if this actually happens.
Doubt it .... source?

The last few times I've done this there's been frequent changes leading up to the event and ultimately the release. Trade in started at $600 and included $100-200 in accesories based on the phone selected. Gradually the accessory credit went away and either Buds or credits creeped to the $800 base.
Don't be in a hurry to reserve and cancel/return for the best price. This generally almost always happens and the later you reserve (until around three days to actual release) do you get the best bang for your buck (along with CB)
Why cant you just reserve now and if something else comes along reserve again , different email

Samsung is so picky with their trade requirements I would never do a trade in deal with them

I rather do an in person trade in like with Best Buy or my carrier. Too many horror trade in stories.

After years of upgrading phones, I suggest you guys wait because Samsung phone price drops really fast, and around middle of the year, it will have even better discounts.
New to the Samsung ecosystem, here - I thought the best trade-in deals were right at launch of the new series, no? Or is that true, but with the quick price drop it's still a better deal overall to wait till midyear?
