There is something called scaling..
You use scaling so the text/icons are bigger. After scalling the text still looks better than on a 28 inch 1080

Wondering if this might be the right one for me, but wanting the option to return it if not, I go round and round without success at finding their return window/conditions

Isn't this $150 at Micro center occasionally?

I bought 6 of these for a couple employees of mine. They're fantastic screens.

Wild that some people would consider an object other than their precious television important 😧 Wait until I tell you about these newfangled things called "bookshelves".

I bought 3 of the old model of these in 2020 for around $240 each, and can confirm they're very nice screens for the money.

One thing I'll note is, if you're susceptible to high pitch noises (ie from capacitors), if you have a spreadsheet open on these and zoom out to a specific magnification (I wanna say like 80%) all three of mine make an annoying sound.

Otherwise, no regrets! (other than trying to get my work laptop to power 3x 4k screens at once haha). These even have a nice height adjustable stands!

Bonus is the easy buttons to switch between the inputs, making it easy to swap between computers (vs those joystick menus).

Don't know if you're aware of this, but many people mount their monitors to articulating arms that are attached to their desks. It frees up desktop, and if you have a multi-monitor setup the amount of desk space take up by the stands can be enormous.
