Get $300 with a new checking account and another $200 with a new savings account with qualifying activities. Plus, get an extra $400 bonus when you open both accounts at the same time. TOTAL $900.
Checking offer is not available to existing Chase checking customers. Savings offer is not available to existing Chase savings customers. Both offers are not available to those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance within the last 3 years. You can receive only one new checking and one new savings account opening related bonus every two years from the last coupon enrollment date and only one bonus per account. Coupon is good for one-time use.
To receive the checking bonus:
1) Open a new Chase Total Checking account, which is subject to approval;
AND 2) Have your direct deposit made to this account within 90 days of coupon enrollment. Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government. Person to Person payments (such as Zelle®) are not considered a direct deposit. Micro-deposits do not qualify as a direct deposit for the bonus. Micro-deposits are small deposits, typically less than $1, that are sent to your account to verify it is the correct account. After you have completed all the above checking requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.
To receive the savings bonus:
1) Open a new Chase SavingsSM account, which is subject to approval;
2) Deposit a total of $15,000 or more in new money into the new savings account within 30 days of coupon enrollment;
AND 3) Maintain at least a $15,000 balance for 90 days from the coupon enrollment. The new money cannot be funds held by you at Chase or its affiliates. After you have completed all the above savings requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.
To receive the extra bonus:
You must open the checking and savings account at the same time and complete all requirements above for BOTH the checking bonus and savings bonus. After you have completed all requirements, we will deposit the remaining bonus due in your new account within 15 days.
To receive any of the above bonuses, the enrolled account must not be closed or restricted at the time of payout. Bonuses are considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT (or Form 1042-S, if applicable).

If you close either account within 6 months of account opening, you will forfeit the bonus.

Long story short, several rep conversations later, here's what I had done to get this working if you find yourself in this situation:
1) You need to close the checking account that doesn't have the coupon applied. They will attempt to add it to the savings account, but it will fail.
2) Talk to a rep that can reapply the coupon to the savings account.
3) Confirm that you get the bonus for all three. They even asked me where they want the $400 to go. I should be good now.
FWIW, I have previously done these offers. Last time I did so was 2019. The first rep said there was a problem because I had done this before (seems wrong to me so I called and got another rep). The number is 1800-935-9935 for their checking/savings department if you have any issues. If you encounter any problems they should be able to apply / confirm the code is active. Hope that helps!
Off to go set up direct deposit! I am hoping that "closed account" doesn't ruin my promotion here...sigh. The rep told me it was still in a "pending" state, so here's hoping. I can see this 3 months from now not getting any bonus...I guess we'll see. Chase normally has decent customer service in my experience so hopefully I can get this resolved if it comes to that.
Oh, last thing. Do make sure you get the email sent to you as it has the coupon code in the bottom. They will specifically ask for the code if you have problems.

I'm trying to fund the accounts. I setup chase to transfer from my other account. Next I scheduled a small transfer. Chase locked my account saying suspicious activity. I called them and had the account reset. I was able to Zelle from my source bank. I scheduled a 2nd Transfer and it worked. I scheduled a 3rd time to initiate a Pull from Chase and bring in funds. Bang! They locked my account again. It's like Chase doesn't want me to fund the account. They say you can Wire, Zelle, or walk into a local branch

Also, does BOA charge for external transfer from boa to chase?
https://www.bankofameri
Three Business Day ACH (outbound) for non-business consumers has a $1000 limit per transaction, and charges you $3 a pop
You can pull-transfer from the Chase side for free, but might trigger an auto-reject and/or online account lockout, and get a phone call from Chase asking you to call back and clear things up. For me, a ~$5000 transfer went fine, but another $5000 triggered a Chase lockout, and they said it came with a note to not retry the transfer even after giving me back my online access.
TIA
I think so. Their fees are about halfway down this page:
