Don't worry, nothing is changing. It has always been like that and will remain so, that solely affects 'spend' earnings, not earnings tied to a quantity purchase such as this deal.

i used rewards in this purchase, i wonder if that's the reason.
This is the first order in a couple months where I actually got the "perfect order" completed. I ordered the Colgate + Crest combo, 4 Softsoap, 2 body wash, Scott tissues and towel. I had a $5 Walgreen cash for spending $20+. The $27.53 includes tax and bag fee. So there isn't any room for error because if just one item gets cancelled, the total after coupon and before tax goes below $20 and I lose the $5 Walgreen booster rewards and additional rewards that come with the item that gets cancelled. I did miss the 75 cents coupon from the hand soap, but I called CSR to have the adjustment. I spent $26 (with bag fees removed and 75 cents discount adjusted) and earned $22 Walgreen Cash Rewards. Can't get any better than that.
I took a screenshot of my order. It missed the 75 cents coupon on the handsoap. However, $5 of the rewards came from the $20+ booster. I need one more $15+ purchase to earn $7 Walgreens cash for making four $15+ purchases in January. I hope I make it.
