Very competitive read speeds. Despite not having DRAM, it outperforms most with.
Write speeds aren't so good. For most users web browsing and office apps, this has minimal impact.

This is a solid M.2 for PC gaming. I use this in a USB-C M.2 enclosure for data transfer.

How is this compared to the Kingston nv2 or the cheaper silicon power ones in the similar price range.. ?

This is a great price for a 900 TBW drive. Most drives in this price range only have 200 TBW limit

The NV2 is PCIe v4.0, which would normally mean really fast, but the speeds are more like PCIe V3.

It's also $5 cheaper than this WD. Hard choices...

WD website shows this for the SN570:

SSD Endurance 300 TB
Internal Data Rate 3500 MBps (read) / 2300 MBps (write)

Specs seem to be all over the place.

Still happy with my son's 'Blue' SN550 we bought two years ago (back when $50 was a decent price for 500gb). Pairs very nicely with a lower end game box (slightly overclocked i5-9600k on a Z390 chipset). Just benched it the other day, and plenty of life left in that bad boy (50% capacity). Very tempted to upgrade him to this 1TB drive.

Get Samsung if money is no object, but this is a good way to cut corners if you need to save some bucks.

Unfortunately, drive is back to $69....and that's not really a deal.
