Most sell this config for $400. I got this at $250 Dec. 6th from the seller ITREPLAY.
It had a Micron SATA M.2 SSD that I replaced with a larger NVME drive. Original SKHynix RAM was there. Windows 10 pro is upgradeable to Windows 11 pro as this is an 8th gen I7.

Refurbished
Dell Optiplex 7060 SFF
Core i7-8700
16GB DDR4 SKHynix RAM (2 of 4 slots used)
512GB Micron SATA M.2 (not NVME)
Mines did have the 3.5" HDD caddy and 2 original SATA cables still plugged into the Motherboard.

I did see this config minus the SSD on Ebay for $260 around the same time but no Amazon Renewed 90day replacement/refund.

I just installed the latest BIOS update (1/12/2023). One of the reasons I buy Dell optiplex machines are the timely BIOS updates.

Is this cheaper than the Dell Refub deals from Dell that have been popping up almost daily?

Link? If it's a "T" model it's a little slower and probably a micro form factor?
The i7-8700 is about 10%-30% faster than the "T" version but the "T" version is lower power at 35watts vs 65watts so that's why they are in the micro form factors.

SFF motherboard specs:

X16 slot for low profile graphics card
X4 slot (open ended) which can hold a x16 card but functions at x4 speed. Usually Dell puts the x16slot next to power supply so you can only fit a single slot x16 video card. You can put a dual slot low profile video card in the x4 slot but it's limited to pcie x4 speed.

M.2 slot for WiFi
M.2 slot for m.2 ssd
(2) SATA ports

200W power supply

Good business grade PCs!

If you had a spare case just Frankenstein it in (if necessary) and get a better power supply to go with the graphics card

Do Dells still use proprietary PSUs? I remember a long time ago they had custom pin configs, and if you plugged a generic replacement one in it would smoke your system. Ask me how I learned. >_>

They just dropped ATX form entirely 15ish years ago, now they use a totally custom motherboard connector: https://www.dell.com/community/Op...-p/7779028 You can pull pins out of the PSU's connector to the new molex, or get an adapter, but this necessarily limits the available power capacity.

You can see it in the PDF diagram in the service manual: https://www.dell.com/support/home...sktop/docs

How is this for basic level Adobe Illustrator/Lightroom edits? I currently am using a (2021?) M1 13' MacBook Pro, but I prefer Windows for content creation. Will I feel super bogged down on this machine?

Acer sells a SFF (Aspire 1660G) for $270.

Pros vs. this:
1. New (not refurb) so comes with a warranty
2. WiFi M.2 included
3. M.2 NVMe drive included
4. 300W PSU (so enough juice to add a low profile GPU (I put in a RX 6400)
5. 10th generation CPU (vs. 8th)
5. 2x HDMI ports for multi-screen

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Acer-Aspire-Desktop-10th-Gen-Intel-Core-i3-10105-4-Core-Processor-UHD-Gra... [walmart.com]

I got a used one on eBay for $150 shipped.
