I'd recommend waiting if you can. New Oled monitors were announced by different brands and these older ones will definitely drop by a lot more. I'm actually returning my Neo G9 I got for BF from Amazon and waiting on the new ones they announced last month.

I bought this back when they first released. Gaming looks great but the desktop text clarity does bother me some. I was using a 1440p 165hz HP Omen 27i before and it was much sharper/clear for text compared to this. As others mentioned, it's not bad but it is noticeable and kind of a bummer considering this monitor cost more than 2x as much as my previous one (since I bought my previous one brand new when it released too).

The minor annoyance aside - the thing that does greatly bother me is the coil whine. It ... is ... IRRITATING. Sometimes I can calm it down some by enabling/disabling the monitor's built-in lighting effects. For mine it gets louder when there is less image being lit up by the pixels. Screens that are predominantly black... higher coil whine sound. I pretty much have to wear my headphones to help me ignore it.

Unreal I bought this last month and am ONE day out of Dell's 30-day price guarantee. For anyone else this is really good deal on an excellent OLED gaming monitor, emphasis on gaming monitor as this is NOT a great daily driver for desktop work.

Not true, the LG OLED was announced and released quite fast. Matter a fact, my friend who pre-ordered his 45" got it a few days before shipping dates. It's not like the GPU's thankfully.

I recommend watching this Youtube video by HDTV and his other videos on this monitor before purchasing.

NOTE: This is not a work or productivity monitor.

OLED is not ready for work-play. This is a gaming monitor.

This monitor lacks the G-Sync module of the non-F version, but is it still G-Sync compatible like a lot of the LG Ultragears? I just don't want screen tearing.

Plus this doesn't look like a compelling discount anyway. 10% off MSRP is nothing.

How's this for ps5 even though it's hdmi 2.0? I'm looking for a monitor that can do both pc and ps5.

I don't have the F version but I've been daily driving the original one for like 6 months now and have no issues. None of the fringing from the pixel layout bothers me. Did I notice it? Yes , but to me not horrible at all.
Same. I won't be able to ever switch back to a different screen after gaming on this one. I paid a premium of 1400$ for the gsync one and I have no regrets but I do regret paying 1500$ for my 3090 lol.

I already have a 34" UW and I was tempted to pull the trigger on this for OLED since I've heard so many good things but the text issue would bother me a lot since I use my PC for gaming and a lot of text work. Hopefully they can fix it in the next version.

Thanks - I have been salivating over this monitor and was awaiting the rtings.com review which went up today. Seems like a great monitor, I am just terrified of Dell's customer support if I have a burn in problem in the future.

Alienware is the high end Dell. High end Dell monitors are FANTASTIC monitors and their warranty (at least it used to be) phenomenal.

Can you please shed some more light about its unsuitability for work tasks? I tend to use my PCs for work and gaming. Lots of spreadsheet type work.
If youre primarily using this for work, I suggest going with IPS over OLED. Go OLED if youre primarily using this for entertainment.

Either way, ultrawide is GREAT for editing worksheets especially with an MX master mouse.

I tried it but I didn't get the option up for me. If I could get 20% CB I would buy it.
