You're right. Was it always the case? Not sure. But have edited my comment. Thanks!
The reason I always stick to the $50 value however, is to get the maximum value (10% off) out of the offer, whether it be multiple cards or one.

ATT Prepaid's policy is that prepaid cards $25-$99 expire in 90 days after added to account. $100+ is 365 days. <$25 is 30 days. I suggest not to add the card to your account until shortly before your plan renewal.
You can extend the balance by adding more $ to the account before the prepaid card expiration.
E.g. add a $50 prepaid card on X. Add another $ on X + 89. Same prepaid card expiration rules apply to the added balance so you'd get another 30 days (<$25), 90 days ($25-99), or 365 days ($100+).
It's the best deal.
You can buy as many as you like.
I thought you had to buy the cards meant for smartphones.
Also, what do you mean by "vest add a line reward points"?

I buy 8 for T-Mobile and 8 for Cricket every six months when Targets have this deal. I pay for my family's wireless bills and never had a problem. It's been 3 plus years.
