note that the led lights are spaced apart more then a while back previously, but they are bright lights.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank gordgeck
Also, bought a 6 foot LED set earlier in the week (the Lenovo deal) and did the kitchen cabinets. Really solid upgrade to your space for such a small investment.
Make sure to check the specs for number of lights. Some are 30 per meter (so, 150 per 16 feet). Others (the $14 RGBIC at the top of the list) are 18 per meter (90 per 16 feet) or so.
If you've never gotten these before, keep in mind that they are expose lights so you'll probably want to hide the lights or cover them. Without a diffuser of some sort, they can be a little blinding. Diffuser channels on Amazon seem expensive relative to the lights, so I made mine out of index cards. It looks nice, although it blocks a lot of light and probably isn't great for heat dissipation.
Also, the lights can only connect to one device via Bluetooth at a time and it just stays connected for a while, so it's nice to have a remote as a backup.
Anyway, I'm pretty happy with the set I got, the H61451D1, which is and was $16.

After digging in, i found out the more expensive models you can cut.. and the cheaper ones you cant
13$ 16.4 length
A: You absolutely cannot cut these because they have circuits every 5 buttons or so. You will destroy the segments. Which you can control via the Govee App! I hope this answers both questions
17$ 16.4 length
A: Yes, the led strip light can be cut on every 3 Leds, but the rest of strip will no longer work. And this model is not able to connect other light strips kits.
Any concerns, please feel free to contact us via [email protected].

A few things worth considering if you are like me and impulse bought them without reading too deeply into the details:
On these strips and strips like them, I think it's generally the case that the power is injected in the middle versus at the end. That may have ramifications for where you set them up.
The Amazon listing will generally say something like "32' (2x 16' strips)" and you might think that means you can use those two strips separately by purchasing an extra controller. This is, as far as I can tell, incorrect. I would be thrilled to be corrected on this point. Govee, at least, was unwilling to sell another controller/power adapter.
If you intend to use them as accent lightning or under counter lighting, and you have areas where you don't want the strip to go, you'll end up cutting strips and likely wasting some without fooling around with wiring yourself.
Bearing those things in mind, if they fit your use case, these are decently bright. I echo others' suggestions to get RGBIC rather than the standard RGB strips. The app somehow has simultaneously too many settings and yet too little control. Would also recommend forgoing connecting these to your WiFi if you can tolerate not controlling these via Alexa or Google.
