Please just buy the tp link or cheaper versions of these switches. The only benefit is the fact that it's 3 wire. This system does nothing other than that unless you somehow care about the looks that much. Imo there's really no difference in the looks. I have this and the tp link and my reliability between both has been the same. It's just overpriced for the name
I have both as well. There's a couple scenarios where the Casetas offer features not found (as of yet) in Kasa products:

1. (As you mention) No neutral required for dimmer switches - depending on when and how your house was wired, this can be a big advantage in being able to add smart switches in boxes with no neutrals.

2. Adding 3 or 4 way switching where it didn't exist before - Pico remotes can be added anywhere and can be wall mounted with a standard wall plate - nice to be able to add remote switching to older homes built before code required switching at ell entry points in to a room or hallway - I used Lutron's products to add switching at the top of my stairs to lighting at the bottom of my stairs.

3. 4 way switching - Lutron offers 4 way switching capability when lights are controlled by 3 or more switches.

4. Fan control - Lutron offers a smart fan switch control with 4 speeds for "dumb" (no remote) fans.

I agree though that the TP-Link products are a great value and that their switches are both more ergonomic and intuitive - the legacy Lutron products are mushy and flat, and their dimmer controls make for an overly busy switch face. Also, now that TP-Link seems to have ironed out their 3 way dimmer kits, I'm replacing my 3 way Lutrons with the TP-Links. I suspect TP-Link will also figure out 4 way switching at some point with either their existing 3 way kits or a new/separate 4 way offering.

where is the live chat feature on home depot?
I had to turn off my adblocker/ublock Origin extension to see it but it's a widge along the right edge of the web page.
