You add the other free tool to the cart and it will change the prices for both at checkout, then if you don't want the "free tool" return it and they will refund the difference.
I've tried this and they adjust the price at the service desk when you try to refund the free item that you don't want leaving me to have to just refund the whole thing. Heck the circular saw is $200.00 that'd drop this to $58.00 if you could get it to work though.

That must be a store issue. Or what you tried to return was a package. There is a difference, sometimes it's one line on the receipt, most times it's split. It's worked for years. The circular saw would not drop it to $58. The price is spread over both. Look at your cart

Can I return the main item and only keep the free item?

Can you clarify the service desk adjusted the price? Are you saying returning free item doesn't refund the amount stated in the receipt?

So it looks like the list price is $200 for the saw. I'm assuming that the prorated price with the "free item" is something quite a bit lower than $200. The refund you would get for returned item would be prorated price, not the listed of $200.

Sorry idk if it's different on mobile but which "free tool" is it ?

What is the other 'free tool' that I'm supposed to add?
Anyone remember the $109 deal for the three pack, a 3AH, 6AH, and 9AH? I bought three packs and kept them in the box for the couple of years it's been; one of the 3AH was dead out of the box, but the 9AH ones sell on EBAY for $350+ easy. In the fall, I put the first one up for $375, it was sold in two days to some construction dude. Put up the others, the longest one was about five days ...
One of the best slickdeals ever.
I got that deal. Sold the 9 Ah after a year because I never used (never needed to) it. I still use the 6 Ah and 3 Ah every day. Prices have plummeted for Octane batteries overall. Although I did see where two new 9 Ah batteries did sell for $299 recently, however that's pretty rare these days. There's a seller on ebay who has been trying for several months to get $395, then $350 for his/hers and they aren't selling. I sold a new 6 Ah Octane for $215 about six months ago and now they are going for well under $150 when they do pop up. The new Ridgid Max Output 8 Ah battery with 21700 cells is a beast and you can find them for dirt cheap on ebay every so often. I paid $125 each for two of them. One recently sold for $100 and I was tempted, but I have so many batteries at this point I figured let someone else get a good deal and it did sell fast.
