for this task, gas washer is not only overkill but actually may really kill....your car's paint.

so I'd say for you by all means just go with the cheap electric one for 1/5 the price, it is far more than enough.
Not necessarily overkill. It's a 2.5 gpm, and when washing a car the gpm matters more than the psi.

Some sketch reviews that seem real even with overall decent average. Everyone fine with that?
Agreed. I was thinking of buying this but the reviews scared me.

I bought this a few days ago. I had an old craftsman (still have) for 15 years and put a new pump and carb into it last sept for 185.00 . it still runs like crap unless i take the air filter off (I know, dont do that) So for me it was a lets see what happens. If it doesnt work ,ill return it and deal with my coughing 15 yo craftsman 2400
Did you remove your tank and fuel line and clean it out? Also some of these Chinese carbs are at fault. The jets are just slightly off and aren't mixing fuel air correctly. Or the seal at the block or air filter housing is bad. That's a lot to spend on a pump and carb. Amazon?

Jesh this is a deal? It was never a $480 power washer. You can buy much better for that. Normal price for this with a Honda engine. I was getting 2.5gpm Honda washers for cheaper than this without a neon color refurbished logo
No, you can't.

I have an 8 year old 3000 PSI Ryobi. Recently it started giving me problems. Rough running and idle down. I ordered a new pump for it $175 shipped. It's supposed to be delivered in two days. I saw this and pulled the trigger. I feel spending $125 for a brand new model is better than investing in the 8 year old one. i will be returning the pump.

Yes this is a deal. I just looked at this model 2 days ago at Home Depot. It sells for $529 with free shipping or home delivery.

I have had this for a few years now. It was hard to start and didn't idle well from day 1…not typical for a Honda. And ethanol fuel just made it worse, to the point I could only start it with a drill.

New carb on Amazon is just $20, fixed the issues.

Great little unit.
I probably had a Friday afternoon or Monday morning build.

I have a gas power washer with some gas in the tank but it's been sitting untouched in my basement for a year and a half. Is it safe to still use the gas?

Maybe a dumb question but I've never had one before. Is this suitable for stripping paint/stain off of a deck to prep it for a re-stain??

Yep there is I bought one and it has a special nozzle 5in1 with a reduced pressure feature for using it to wash cars etc. They also sell a foam Canon attachment for washing vehicles.

Any feedback on the electric pressure washers ? we have semi low water pressure, so like to boost it a bit for watering and car washing hosing stuff down...
Here is a link to all the pressure washers [directtoolsoutlet.com]
We bought the RYOBI 1800 PSI 1.2 GPM and it cleaned the oil stains off the driveway to give you an idea.

If it's ethanol free gas, then you may be ok. If it has ethanol in it, then you'll have to clean all the gunk out of the tank and carburetor and start over with fresh gas, preferably ethanol free.
