For those worried about expiration dates on these or medication in many cases:

https://www.health.harvard.edu/st...n-anything

tl;dr The expiration date doesn't really indicate a point at which the medication is no longer effective or has become unsafe to use.
Their generic Zyrtec and Allegra allergy medicine is also on sale:

Ignore expiration date...marketing scam. Product is still good.

Great post. To me, and I ain't no pharmacist nor a chemist, but I think about half life. What's the half life of the active ingredient(s). Probably WAY more than the expiration date. My Zyrtec expired in 2016 and still works just as well.

For anyone with allergies, there are different classes of antihistamines and newer and older gen. Supposedly, newer gen have fewer drowsying effects but I haven't necessarily found that to be the case. Sometimes you have to try 3-5 to find what works. For me, loratadine (this deal) is crap and Zyrtec (cetirizine) is great but heavily drowsying, so much so that I feel hungover the next day unless I cut a pill in half. That also is not recommended with every medication you take being formulated to ensure a minimum dosage gets people into a therapeutic window.

Started allergy shots 6 months ago. Will I need this or will I be "cured?"

Not according to my wife. Welcome to my hell. Don't even get me started on thermostat settings.

For me after 5-6 months of shots it didn't help at all so i just stop and rather take these pills to control my allergy symptoms.
