But CFG Bank has limits according to their website:
Once funding occurs the daily external transfer limit for the CFG High Yield Money Market Account is $5,000. Your external transfers may not exceed $30,000 in a 30-day rolling period.

I'm getting tired of moving my money around chasing the APY. They should be coming up again after tomorrow's FED meeting too.

Nope, usually paid out within a few business days.

FDIC official website has a section for concernicus folks like you specifically:

I clicked on the "learn more" about checking and the retinal-searing "yes, please" self-parodying meme blasted right in my eyes.

Too f'-in Karen-y for me. Pass.

Stick with ones that have good reviews or those that have been around a while like Amex, CapitalOne, etc. I opened an account with Comenity (Bread Financial) due to high APY. I was smart enough this time to deposit the minimum of $100. I then tried to sign on to their web site but was unsuccessful. Called their support number and and got a voice mail. Eventually I gave up and filed a dispute with Chase so they could get my $100 back.

Is there a site that keeps track of average daily rates for the past whatever... 6 months? 1 year? This would be a good way to eliminate any fly-by-night rate leaders, no?

Anyone get this to work with mint? I think they have two systems, one for "online only" and one for branch locations.
same, can't get it to link. I submitted the url to Mint to hopefully add it. You should do the same.

2 steps verification required at most of these banks these days. They need a way to txt you the code.

People should read the details. MySavingsDirect requires 60 day advance written notice of any intended withdrawal before you can get your funds. These guys look like a regular bank, and probably won't have such crazy restrictions.
Where did you get that information? Their online term for Saving ACH is 2-4 business days. Can you provide more details? Thanks

I started to open an account there and the only choice I could find to finish the account creation was to fund it before they'd create the account. Well, annoying, but not necessarily a big deal. I could point them to an account with only a couple bucks in it.

BUT NO! They required my login credentials for the account that I wanted to transfer the money from. MY MISTAKE!!! They only require the credentials if you correctly identify your bank's name. If you enter random letters instead, they'll grant you the privilege of validating with routing and account numbers and some test transactions.
That's normal bro. Inter-bank use provider like yodlee, plaid, etc., to link your account, so you save the wait for trial deposits Elon invented. There's nothing insecure about it, those providers are the ones handling your ACH.

Redneck Bank is pretty good if you stay below 75K. They are always near the top.
Earn 4.50% APY when you have up to $15,000 in your account. Amounts over $15,000 will earn 0.50% APY. don't know where you got 75k from

I use Robinhood Gold 4% APY benefit. All you need is $1500 in your account to break even with the $5 monthly Gold membership fee. I like it because in the event I want to buy stocks, my funds are available, if not, I can earn 4%.

Ally Saving also has this same dynamic where you can have a saving account (3.4% APY) with a brokerage account. You can have quick access to purchase stocks or earn interest on uninvested cash.
