Sorry but that is not entirely true. After activating new phone sim with Google Fi, as long as you don't insert the Google Fi sim in a "different phone", you are fine. Most, like myself, simply tossed the Google Fi sim in a drawer and no problems getting the $500. Using a different carriers sim in the S22 the entire time.

FakeBro, stop spreading Fake information. This is 100% not true. In the last 3-4 months, I purchased 3 Fold4 and all were just activated on the device and now the sim is seating in the drawer, and never got a chargeback. And one device has already crossed the qualification period and the other 2 will complete their qualification window in 12-15 days.

Just an FYI on obtaining a valid cell number to port. I posted this earlier on in the thread but seems to have been overlooked by many as this is a long thread.

I ordered the five dollar per month plan on hello mobile website. It includes talk text and 500 MB data. Free sim and taxes included. The account number for porting is given to you in an email and you can see it as well by logging into your account online, no need to use their app. The porting pin is the last four digits of your phone number, I confirmed that with customer service. Hope this helps some here who need a valid phone number to port and do not want to take any risk with GV numbers as things may have changed this year.

And bonus, the five dollar hello mobile plan second month is free. No coupon code or referral required. This comes in handy just in case the delivery date keeps getting pushed back by Google Fi.

Thank God. I was wondering when we were going to have a thread cop on duty.

By the way, nobody likes a thread cop.

And then you called the person a kid.

You don't have very many rep points do you.

I know your kind.

Did you even buy this deal?
"Did you even buy this deal?" I did, your the one who didn't.

Because I almost purchased the Google Fi phones.

But since I went through T-Mobile, I guess I'm here to rub everyone's nose in it that I'm getting mine so early and you will have to wait.

Go play in the T-mobile forums simp.

Fi allows you to change the port-in number/info up to the moment you're about to activate the S23. So, put in any valid phone number and its info at ordering. When you receive the "Order Shipped" email from Fi, order a phone number on Ebay. The phone shipment takes about 2-days to arrive. When you have the phone, log into your Fi account and change the port-in number and info to the number bought on Ebay, then download the Fi app to the S23, and run it to activate the S23.

See attachments below. If no port-in info was previously entered, it'll say Get Ready Now. If you had entered something previously, it'll say Update Info.

Than STFU and don't respond. What was the point of your initial response? Clown!
I get it reading through all the rubble sucks but its the best way to understand everything and be prepared. Especially in a deal like this that could end up costing more money if you don't follow the terms correctly. About Mint mobile trial I did join it just to see if I could get a port out pin which it won't even let me log into an account or send me a code to log in so I am assuming it won't work. Most people including me is using a Tello esim easy to port out and only costs $5 for their cheapest plan. Some are using Hello Mobile (not the fastest way to get a line) or buying a boost port out line off ebay (wouldn't recommend cause the accounts barely lasts two weeks). Some people are also using Google Voice with success but I figured why risk it.

P.S no need to be an ass just because you didn't at first get the response you wanted from someone. Eventually someone will comment and be helpful. Smilie

I'm reading your reply on my phantom Black s23 ultra that I got from T-Mobile.

At least I purchased a phone. Does it really, does really, matter who we get it from?

For me the T-Mobile deal was better.

I still don't know if you purchased an s23 ultra or you are just a wannabe... Or maybe went with the s23 Plus and rationalized why it's better than 23 ultra.

I could search the thread. But maybe I'm just a lazy kid just like you like the brand everyone else.
Here you go Skippy. I have a dog in the hunt you're just hanging around cause you're lonely.

Here you go officer.

You made your purchase and yet you still hang around. Just because it will ship at a future date doesn't mean you still have to hang around.

Besides, you hanging around and insulting the members. Even after you made a purchase.

We are not so very different after all.

I guess the only difference is that I don't insult the members, and I'm typing this on my s23 ultra.

Thank you, manage to use a spare Google Voice number I had on hand not being used.

Wanted to go with a "real" number like a Boost Mobile number as suggested on the deal page, but do you think a Google Voice number is safe to stay with for porting in? Seems like some people have had success with Google Voice numbers.
I'm risk adverse so I'd rather spend $5 to $10 on a number that meets the requirements than try my luck. The level of discomfort over several months wondering if it worked is just not worth it to me.

Here's a thought call me crazy....I hang around to see if anything changes that I need to know about before mine arrives. You know how I'll know? By reading the posts instead of jumping in here and asking people questions that have been answered a ton of times. So tell me Private why are you here, in case somebody posts their issues with T-mobile?
Oh dang, guess what i just discovered....the IGNORE button. ApplausePeace

People really should keyword search this thread before asking questions.

Great suggestion!
But it should be an intelligent keyword search, as the old IT saying goes: garbage in, garbage out!!!

Also, this thread should be under Hot Deals, NOT under Deal Talk, until 2/17/2023.
