Sorry but that is not entirely true. After activating new phone sim with Google Fi, as long as you don't insert the Google Fi sim in a "different phone", you are fine. Most, like myself, simply tossed the Google Fi sim in a drawer and no problems getting the $500. Using a different carriers sim in the S22 the entire time.

FakeBro, stop spreading Fake information. This is 100% not true. In the last 3-4 months, I purchased 3 Fold4 and all were just activated on the device and now the sim is seating in the drawer, and never got a chargeback. And one device has already crossed the qualification period and the other 2 will complete their qualification window in 12-15 days.

Just an FYI on obtaining a valid cell number to port. I posted this earlier on in the thread but seems to have been overlooked by many as this is a long thread.

I ordered the five dollar per month plan on hello mobile website. It includes talk text and 500 MB data. Free sim and taxes included. The account number for porting is given to you in an email and you can see it as well by logging into your account online, no need to use their app. The porting pin is the last four digits of your phone number, I confirmed that with customer service. Hope this helps some here who need a valid phone number to port and do not want to take any risk with GV numbers as things may have changed this year.

And bonus, the five dollar hello mobile plan second month is free. No coupon code or referral required. This comes in handy just in case the delivery date keeps getting pushed back by Google Fi.

I only see switch plan or add a person option. No option to leave Fi. So I assume I won't be charged. Did u have the same options? So porting info and all that will drop off soon?
My active Fi account has more options than that. Once you've cancelled all your outstanding orders in that account, I don't know whether the porting info will drop off, but if you're not going to activate anything ordered through that account then what remains in that account doesn't matter.

For Hello Mobile sim users ..... can we get a random number during activation and then port that random number into Fi?
Yes, you can. If you do not choose to post a number into Hello Mobile, you will get a random number assigned at the time you activate the Hello Mmobile SIM. Took 2 days for me to receive the SIM. However, meanwhile, you can use any number (possibly a google voice number) to place the Fi order, and then when you have the Hello Mobile number, change the post number in your Fi account. Good luck.

So you had cancelled the s22 order on the account that already had Fi service?

Ordered an S23 Ultra (Black) 3 days ago on the 12th, the estimated delivery date is between March 2 - 9.
Also ordered s23u black on the 12th, was shown Mar.2-3, but is showing updated Feb.24-25.
So if that's correct estimation, I should be getting it by next week.
Really looking forward to it.

There was no option to cancel service. I had Fi on a different account, (pixel 7 promotion ),the service was canceled after I port-out my number. I waited 120 days before making the request.

No. I cancelled the S22 order in an account that never had service. The screenshot in my previous post was to show you the available options in an account WITH Fi service, to assure you that your account has no active Fi service.

I guess the promo cancellation email comes a day or so later, correct? I just noticed it in the Fi account. Haven't received the promo rejected email yet.

Is it ok to use the same CC for placing an order on a diff Google acct? Just want to make sure I get it right this time. This is the last chance. Thank you Sir.
