Sorry but that is not entirely true. After activating new phone sim with Google Fi, as long as you don't insert the Google Fi sim in a "different phone", you are fine. Most, like myself, simply tossed the Google Fi sim in a drawer and no problems getting the $500. Using a different carriers sim in the S22 the entire time.

FakeBro, stop spreading Fake information. This is 100% not true. In the last 3-4 months, I purchased 3 Fold4 and all were just activated on the device and now the sim is seating in the drawer, and never got a chargeback. And one device has already crossed the qualification period and the other 2 will complete their qualification window in 12-15 days.

Just an FYI on obtaining a valid cell number to port. I posted this earlier on in the thread but seems to have been overlooked by many as this is a long thread.

I ordered the five dollar per month plan on hello mobile website. It includes talk text and 500 MB data. Free sim and taxes included. The account number for porting is given to you in an email and you can see it as well by logging into your account online, no need to use their app. The porting pin is the last four digits of your phone number, I confirmed that with customer service. Hope this helps some here who need a valid phone number to port and do not want to take any risk with GV numbers as things may have changed this year.

And bonus, the five dollar hello mobile plan second month is free. No coupon code or referral required. This comes in handy just in case the delivery date keeps getting pushed back by Google Fi.

Same here (Addison IL 2/21 shipment) hopefully it's just a date glitch. Checking on the UPS website will show "Label Created" without the 2/22 date.

To add a successful data point here. As I had mentioned earlier, I had mistakenly ordered 2 phones (S23, S23 Ultra) with the promo under the same account A. The first (S23) I activated no issue under account A w/ Tello eSIM and then ported that to Fi, and saw the promo counter update w/ no issue. Once I got the second phone (S23 Ultra) yesterday, I did the following things (same as I did with S23):

1) took Fi sim out
2) turned phone on, connected to WiFi, skipped through setup
3) ordered Ting eSIM, and scanned it with phone, activated it on the phone
4) got porting information, turned eSIM off, factory reset (deleted eSIM)

At this point, I used another google account B to 'add' to the plan in account A as BYOD, and at some point it asked for the # to port, which I input from the previous steps. I then proceeded through steps to add the person/account being added to the (now group) plan on account A, and once that was confirmed I proceeded w/ the Fi activation on account B as part of the group plan w/ BYOD:

5) Put Fi sim back in to S23 Ultra
6) Turned phone on, rebooted it once it detected Fi Sim
7) Connected to WiFi and also logged into account B on initial setup
8) Downloaded Fi app, ensured I was signed in as account B
9) Got prompted to activate, and the # I input during the person add was there (good sign), proceeded with the port. Port succeeded.

10) Waited until this morning, checked early AM, didn't see the counter on account A for S23 ultra update, was slightly disappointed.
11) Waited a few more hours, account A, counter updated saying the new member had activated, ported # and started the countdown, yay. (account B doesn't show any counter)

So if you ended up ordering 2 phones under the same account mistakenly like I did, the steps above should successfully allow the second promo to trigger. Good luck all.

Same boat. Ordered the s23u cream version (it was the only one in stock at the time) on 2/6. Original delivery was 3/8 but then moved up to 2/21-2/22. Now its saying 3/1-3/2 but my pending charge on my CC disappeared last week, so who knows when or if it will ship.

I wish the same. Ordered S23U cream on 2/6 and delivery date is showing as 3/1-3/7. Except the cream one, they seem to ship out all other colors

As an aside, it seems like the trade in values of other Samsungs have continually tanked since around 2/6 ish...I missed on the higher value for my S21FE and now probably will just hold on to it as a spare unless the values come back...

My base green S23 ordered on 2/2 had a est delivery date of Feb 22-23, label created 2/20, FedEx picked up 2/21 in Carol Stream, IL, to be delivered tomorrow 2/23.

I ordered on the 14th and it says March 3-7. I'm assuming you ordered earlier than that so I guess they are just waiting on a shipment.

FedEx guy was so insulted when I asked him to hang out for a sec while I opened it in front of him to ensure I wasn't switcherooed. He just started walking off and said if there's an issue contact the shipper. There are dirty FedEx employees even if he's not one of them.
