Sorry but that is not entirely true. After activating new phone sim with Google Fi, as long as you don't insert the Google Fi sim in a "different phone", you are fine. Most, like myself, simply tossed the Google Fi sim in a drawer and no problems getting the $500. Using a different carriers sim in the S22 the entire time.

FakeBro, stop spreading Fake information. This is 100% not true. In the last 3-4 months, I purchased 3 Fold4 and all were just activated on the device and now the sim is seating in the drawer, and never got a chargeback. And one device has already crossed the qualification period and the other 2 will complete their qualification window in 12-15 days.

Just an FYI on obtaining a valid cell number to port. I posted this earlier on in the thread but seems to have been overlooked by many as this is a long thread.

I ordered the five dollar per month plan on hello mobile website. It includes talk text and 500 MB data. Free sim and taxes included. The account number for porting is given to you in an email and you can see it as well by logging into your account online, no need to use their app. The porting pin is the last four digits of your phone number, I confirmed that with customer service. Hope this helps some here who need a valid phone number to port and do not want to take any risk with GV numbers as things may have changed this year.

And bonus, the five dollar hello mobile plan second month is free. No coupon code or referral required. This comes in handy just in case the delivery date keeps getting pushed back by Google Fi.

Can you share how you setup PS2 emulator?
I'm just using AetherSX2 as the emulator app, and configured the gamepad to match the Gamevice Flex controller. Pretty simple to do, really.

back to looking for safe port-in (after Boost did me in). so what is the safest cheap option (under $10) that i can get asap to port? I have some sim cards from mint/tracfone/cricket etc.
I did the hello mobile $5 plan. The SIM arrived in less than a week in an Amazon package. Activated the Hello Mobile SIM in a spare phone I had a day before my S23 Ultra was set to arrive.

Although if you choose Hello Mobile you MUST contact support and ask them to turn off port protection. It takes just 10 minutes via their website's instant support chat but if you don't turn off port protection your port will always fail to go through. Outside of this little hiccup, my port was successful and now a day later I can see on the Google FI savings page that the 120 days countdown has started.

Why not give them 2-3 days to resolve the issue. I am also screwed but will wait for a few more days.
Did you try to port? Cause I tried with boost today and I believe it went through as it says I can use number and I was able to call with my port in number on the phone. I kept reading it was a 6 digit or 4 digit pin (last 4 on number) but I tried with the pin given to me and it worked...though it took like 1hrs or so before it went through. I have to check tomorrow cause so far Fi savings didn't update with countdown and the last 2 aren't checked yet (activate + port)

The Boosts port numbers I have seen on eBay say just to use your own name and address for the port in information. I'm wondering if that has worked for others using Boost numbers off eBay?
I did with my name and zip. Seems to go through, like other mention it took about 1hrs or so max 2hrs for it to go through. Waiting for tomorrow to see if countdown appears.

I see that my phone is finally being delivered tomorrow from IL it shows FedEx and then CEVA. Has anyone had any issues with Phone delivered by CEVA and nothing in the box? Or did the story turn out that these were just scammers posting here on SD all along? TIA

you know how many days its been? the more you wait the more your cost goes up as you have to extend your fi that many days. so whats the point?
Oh. I thought they'd start charging once your port in completes.

maybe I should consider other carriers.

Question 1: Fi on eSIM/eIMEI, previous (and to be main carrier) on regular SIM, is that an issue for fulfilling the requirement?

Versus throwing the Fi SIM (which implies a physical SIM) into a drawer.

Q2: If Fi is instead a phys SIM, can regular T-Mo post-paid be converted to the eSIM/eIMEI? And both operate to fulfill the Fi requirement.

"I've reviewed your account and see that if you port in your number from Google Voice, the promotional offer will get invalidated." 🤔

Did anyone else get a support message like this? Not sure what to do honestly. Seems to work for everyone.

I was going to try Tello or Boost Mobile, as plan B.

I'm using a Galaxy S8+ currently with service I would like to keep on this phone. Would I be able to activate Tello or Boost on it without messing with my active plan? S8+ doesn't accept eSim from everything I've read, but I wouldn't easily and reliably be able to activate anything on the new S23 Ultra from what I understand?

Or, is it possible to activate online without doing anything with a phone?

Thanks in advance for suggestions, sorry for so many questions.

i dont know for sure. i actually havent activated yet so likely it shouldnt start until activation. i found an unused mint mobile preloaded sim that was supposed to have "expired" many months ago still worked so i activated it and will go with that port in tomorrow when s23 arrives.

Got my s23 today and tried to activate but the Fi SIM isn't reading. I threw my TMobile sim in and it worked perfectly. The Fi sim is not recognized by the phone. Google support was less than worthless. Any suggestions?

I have three MetroPCS lines available for port out if you don't care about the number. $5 AZ gift card for each one. Each has data voice and text to hit the requirements of the offer. I used one myself and now see all the check boxes and am counting down the 220 days. If interested, PM me.

I haven't, just got phone 2 days ago and 119 days left for promotional credit in Fi app. Number was ported in in minutes. Only email I received was regarding $20 referral credit.
