There is absolutely no text issue with the QD-OLED Monitor. I work on this monitor daily and have 20/15 vision .
I also work along side a 32" QLED 120HZ and a 27" LED 165HZ IPS gsync.

In fact the QD-OLED destroys the QLED and LED IPS in color reproduction and text.
I have all my monitors calibrated with the i1display pro
Again, your individual experience is fine, it's about a 50/50 whether the text issues will bother you or not, it does not bother you, that's great, but it's a widely known issue that bothers a large percentage of people.

My QD OLED Dell is clearer than my LED monitors.

They must have received a damaged one or is a common excuse to return. There is nothing wrong with this monitor. It is the best on the market and can vouch for it.
I have perfect vision and it was like staring at an out of focus picture. It's not arguable man I don't know what you're failing to understand, the sub pixel layout is different than most other monitors and the text is LITERALLY less clear, it's a fact. Enjoy your monitor but man you need more of an open mind.

Dude i am looking at my 3 monitors right now and moving the slickdeals window to each monitor and see no difference! IN fact the QD OLED is better!

Does this monitor have burn out issue? I think it is a general issue apply to all OLED panel right?
I leave my computer on all day and saw no issues. been using it 7 months straight.

When you turn off the monitor it goes into a panel refresh mode , so you never see it . I have had no image retention leaving my monitor on 24 hours on a desktop

I would be more worried about the LG C2 but even that would be next to impossible to get burn in if you maintained it by doing the panel refresh

I own C1. Lucky no issue in past year, but the most use cases are for kids watching cartoons around 1 hour each time. Thanks for sharing the use experience

Not a slick deal. LG has a 240hz oled model using gen 3 panel technology available for order now for a similar price but it's 27ish inches so smaller.

Edit: it's 27in 240hz $999.99 https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-27gr95qe-b
The reviews on LG's own website for that monitor are not exactly positive.

So is this a 4k monitor? Or 1440p? In terms of figuring out how well my GPU will run on it. Non widescreen 4k will have more pixels right so harder to drive?

I own a 65" C9 and a 65" C1 , i think my C9 may have more panel image retention than the C1 but if you do the panel refresh once a month you should be good.
I would be more concerned if the TV was left on all day with one image , such as a airport monitor or one of those monitors you see at a fast food joint.

OLED has matured leaps and bounds over the 2016-17 models
I have not once seen anything on my DELL QD OLED when the monitor was turned off. I also forget to leave my desktop on with the one screen showing for hours. I do have mine calibrated at 120 cd/m2 . i also have HDR off since its not needed. People who may be complaining about text , is probably someone who does not know how to calibrate the monitor input the proper settings in windows/ monitor OSD

like i said earlier i use the i1display pro and have a perfect color profile. This monitor is on the same level as my C1 in terms of brightness if not better, but with 175hz vs 120hz on the LG TVs

I would not bother with any OLED under 32" when the release a good QD -OLED in the future at 32" it will be worth it.
I have never seen this monitor and would not expect it to be better. Who needs 240hz anyway when you have gsync. 120hz is good enough with gsync

Beware, according to rtings, this can only do 100Hz at 10-bit. That's a pretty big compromise, in my opinion.
I have the GSYNC version of this monitor and I can do 144Hz at 10-bit.

no it is not real 4k , get the 42" C2 LG but then you are dealing with less brightness and is not a real computer monitor for desktop use.
You will be able to run consoles on the 42" LG , the DELL QD OLED is not compatible with PS5 i.e.

but in terms of the technology for a computer monitor the Dell QD-OLED surpasses LG 42" TV minus the screen size. I may get the C3 42" in the future or just wait for the next QD-OLED

So in regards to your question your res is 3440x1440 so you will be able to pull more FPS than true 4k. It is 100 x better than 2560x1440 on a 27" which i have right next to me for pc gaming
