20 watts, little over what 2 led light bulbs use. …cents per day
20 watts x 14 hours per day divided by 1,000 x kWh charge (where I live 10 cents) .10 = $0.28 per day.
Your math is off. (20x14)/1000 = 0.28 x 10 cents = 2.8 cents per day.

28 cents seemed high since I don't use 28 cents worth of herbs per day on average.

Whoops you are correct little over 2 cents, that pesky 0 in wrong spot…never do math while watching John Wick movies…

Does anyone know what is in the "free seed pod kit"? The others are petunias, lettuce & gourmet herbs. I don't see what's included in the free option. Are they empty & you buy your own seeds? Random seeds? My first foray into aerogardens so I don't know what to expect.
That's just a label to indicate that you have to select one of the 3 free seed kit options: lettuce, herbs or petunias. It's not an option itself.

For me it make sense to just grow it outside and let mother nature take care of it. You already pay for your lawn, might as well put it to good use instead of the useless "grass". Peace

This thing is more of a gimmick, how much lettuce can you get out of this? Enough for 2 salads probably and then you gotta buy more pods and wait another month or 2

It's even cheaper than that. 20w will use 1/50 kwh per hour to run. Since the thing runs 15 hours per day, it uses 3/10 kwh per day, or about 3 cents per day if you're charged 10 cents per kilowatt hour

edit: I now see people beat me to the punch

Had a previous model, they do produce real well. Does have some maintenance that you do really need to follow for both the plants and the equipment.

Yeah the lettuce is somewhat pointless, I used more for fresh spices, never tried tomato but I imagine that would be nice to have.

These are wonderful

I have 2 of these harvest and 2 bounty

I have the seed germination sets for all these. Last year I was able to start 146 tomato plants at a time and they were ready for transplant in just over 2 weeks.

I also started many other vegetable and flower seeds.

I have used them for straight growing of cherry tomatoes & various lettuces.

Highly recommend if you are an amateur gardener.

You can harvest and it'll continue to grow. All the vegetables are clean when harvested and ready to eat.

Remember those random seeds that people were getting in the mail from China? Let's try those! 🤣
