Regarding auto-activation / autopay - if you ported in a number, you are probably safe.
If you chose to get a new number, then your service will activate automatically and you will need to chat/call to cancel autopay. (It seems like chat is easier than calling)

Note that one has a 3rd party battery, as I got the warning, and the other has battery health of 83%. I'm guessing they replace the battery if health is less than 80%.
I don't think there was a color option; both phones I got are black.
I set up both phones on wi-fi before inserting a sim card and checked the sim status in the settings. Then I inserted a non-Boost sim to test. I tested with Cricket and Mint sims and both worked fine.
The bodies of each had minor scuffs and scratches, with the screens in very good condition. Screens also appeared to be original, as the "true tone" option is available on both. Face ID worked fine on both as well.
They came in plain white boxes with a Boost sticker on top and had an OEM usb-a lightning cable with a generic charging brick. (if it's not an OEM cable, it sure looks and feels like one)
$100 is a killer deal for a used, unlocked iPhone Xr, and this one includes 3 months of coverage.

Anyways, chat was useless. I called in. Due to the wait i selected the 'call me back' feature and that worked well. On chat they took 30 mins gathering unnecessary info and then did cancel the order.
My order had no phone so its a bit different but worst case you can reject delivery OR return the order. Finally, do a chargeback on Paypal and if that doesnt work on your CC..
You have quite a few options..

Chatted with CSR they said it's all set at their site.
What next that you guys plan to do with your XR phone?
I'm not using any Apple products but I plan to use it to trade in for a Samsung or Pixel phone.
I was in a pixel 7 thread and someone said these are foreign xr's based on the model number
mt302LL
apparently Best Buy doesn't accept that model number...I am not 100% sure though
just passing along what I read in another thread
Now it says return to sender requested!!

Fingers crossed the quality of the device.
I set it up for a "port" and I'm just not going to do anything assuming they will have no way/reason to charge me for month 2 (the $40 plan) if I don't activate.
We will see if this becomes a PITA for all of us in 30 days! ;-)
