LOL, but in all seriousness, this is a hell of a deal and more than $100 off. Home Depot selling 8 foot studs for $3.35 right now, and when you "spend" the Menards rebate, you don't pay sales tax on the part of the purchase made with rebate check. So in my mind, this is about $143 off of $343 worth of studs.
And in my experience, you should only have to check about 20 in the pile to find one even remotely straight!

Good deal, but good luck with Menards rebates. Have submitted several that never got paid. Way too hit and miss.

To be fair... It is framing lumber. For framing most of those 20 you passed over would still be fine.
For basement framing, is there any specific things I need to check when getting this? I only need small quantity on 8 ft for framing as height is 9 ft. Most part I may be need 10ft

Same. Even when submitting months past the expiration date. They always pay.

I have heard of these being stolen from mailboxes or by postal employees though. It may be bullshit but I've seen it in comments on SD.

I love Menards but don't buy lumber there anymore. The while process is goofy and tedious. Park, walk through whole store. Wait in line for lumber guy. Tell him what you need. Hope he understands and writes quote right. Walk though whole store to wait in line to pay. Walk out to truck, drive around to lumber yard. Wait in line to get in. Go on the big hunt to fine what you bought. Pray no one is in the way, and that to they have it in stock, and the stock is decent quality. Drive from place to place loading. Then remember you also need a treated 2x6 but are so annoyed at this point you plan to pick it up from Lowes since driving there would be faster than repeating this process. Wait in line at the exit. Wait while someone pretends to check you trailer for what you bought. Swing by Lowe's and pick up a treated 2x6 in 5 minutes.

Rant over.

Take a pictures before sending the rebates. You can track them online. Also, if you need more details what happened to them, they can tell you. They can tell you what stores the certificates was used, etc.

I have submitted and used over $20k menards rebate. Right now I have an envelope with $1,200 rebate receipts waiting to be dropped at USPS. Never have any problem with menards rebates

I agree that the lumber yard process is a bit tedious, but you can actually have the best of both worlds here, if I'm only getting a few things, I just take a lumber cart straight out the back door, load up, bring it in and ring it up at the register. If I'm getting a lot, it's nice to be able to load right onto the trailer in the yard anyways. Plus, if you have forkliftable quantities to load, you don't have to wait for a 3 man crew to rope off areas and bring equipment from another whole area along with the parade of safety associates and equipment that entails at lowes or the pot.

Overall, small quantities are easier at other stores, but large quantities are way easier at menards.

That's exactly the issue. Don't have experience with Menards, but I'm willing to bet this is made from the cheapest, knottiest pine. On top of that, they are probably rejected pallets after the large quantity buyers have combed through. As bad as home depot and Lowes lumber might be, I'm willing to bet this is even worse.
