Same. Went with the glorious gaming slim full size wrist rest. Much better imo.

there's some bitter complaints in the negative reviews section about lack of durability ...but a lot of positive reviews too
I was pleasantly shocked that even over a decade later innovera is still making this gel wrist rest which you can buy from target (I dunno, maybe order toilet paper and paper towels to get to the $35 for free shipping and handling? )

and that's been my go to wrist rest for a very long time now, durable, holds up, very comfortable.. although as I found out the hard way smaller children will play with and poke at it to the point where holes open up and of course it falls apart (my son demolished his own in his younger years ) ... as long as you're not abusing it then it's a different story my own lasted so long I forgot when I last bought it
