For those constantly asking what's so great about YT Premium and keep spewing the same old "you can already adblock", with YT Premium you get:
- ad-free videos (all platforms including desktop, mobile, smart TV, etc.)
- background play (on mobile): you can continue to play your videos while you're in a different app aka PIP
- YouTube Music (desktop/mobile): ad-free music aka poor man's Spotify Premium
- offline videos (on mobile): downloadable videos for offline playback
If you're doing the foreign country cheap sub trick, it's a small price to pay for the benefits. It was a no brainer when it was under $1/mo before YouTube raised the prices to under $4/mo, which is still a good value.
Apparently people don't realize YouTube premium isn't just a paid ad blocker for YT. You get access to their music streaming service. Or said another way, you pay for the streaming service and get rid of YT ads for free.
YT Premium, best money ever spent on for streaming. I find more to watch, plus without ads my blood pressure is lower, than I do on the others I subscribe to.

I have 10 gmail addresses and cycle through them every month for a free trial
STN works fantastic on a fire stick. Skips in-video intros and promos as well. Without it, YT is unwatchable.
I have youtube premium. STN skips in-video "Promos"? Do you mean the sponsorships like Hello Fresh or Magic Spoon, where the video person stops what they are doing and talks about Hello Fresh for 30-60 seconds? Youtube premium forces me to watch that stuff. STN skips it?

That's crazy. You're paying for a premium and they still force you to watch stupid commercials?

It is crazy, I pay $22 for a family monthly plan; now will sign up from another country. The videos usually have the words "This is a sponsored video". The host of the show just stops what they are doing and cuts to their own commercial for the sponsor. I do not like it, but at least I can forward with the remote if I'm not lazy.

It probably would if it didn't include YouTube music.
No it's not.
