I have youtube premium. STN skips in-video "Promos"? Do you mean the sponsorships like Hello Fresh or Magic Spoon, where the video person stops what they are doing and talks about Hello Fresh for 30-60 seconds? Youtube premium forces me to watch that stuff. STN skips it?
For those constantly asking what's so great about YT Premium and keep spewing the same old "you can already adblock", with YT Premium you get:
- ad-free videos (all platforms including desktop, mobile, smart TV, etc.)
- background play (on mobile): you can continue to play your videos while you're in a different app aka PIP
- YouTube Music (desktop/mobile): ad-free music aka poor man's Spotify Premium
- offline videos (on mobile): downloadable videos for offline playback
If you're doing the foreign country cheap sub trick, it's a small price to pay for the benefits. It was a no brainer when it was under $1/mo before YouTube raised the prices to under $4/mo, which is still a good value.
How do you do foreign country trick on existing account that ends soon?
You can make a separate account gmail account and link it to your existing one. Buy the family plan instead of the individual plan and that way it lets you link them.
I tried this but I'm getting the message that my original account is in another country and wont let me add it to the family plan. I even changed my location to match in app but still wont work

Don't think this works. Card will get declined in other country credit card? Won't you get banned from Google?

With Premium, the creators still get paid, even if the video is demonetized by YouTube
And how would they adequately compensate the content creators, then? Their price seems fair to me for someone who is streaming heavily.
