Created a new gmail using vpn (through turkey). Google asked for a phone #, used one tied to Google voice on one of my wife's burner gmail accounts, paid by Amex - didnt event have to input a Turkish address

Or ControlID for $2/mo or Argentina VPN for about the same as Turkey. Or Vinegar extension on iOS (but has 1080P max) or modded IPA that includes SponsorBlock and a ton of add-ones via alternative app stores (no jailbreak needed). ControlID prob best if you're trying to block on AppleTV also without airplaying to it.

Did anyone else get an email from YouTube regarding having to change your credit card to an Argentinian Bank issued one (assuming your YT Premium is through Argentina)? Looks like they might be clamping down on this loophole now...

no it does not. Those in-video ad are created by the video creator. The ad doesn't play from a separate ad server which STN skips. The in-video ad are designed as agreement between the ad company and video creator as part of their content. YT premium doesn't skip that either.

All Amex customers can have more than $6 off forever if they know how to sign up with a VPN from another country.

I got the same email. I wonder if it is applied to the subscribers who chose Argentina only?

I've not tried changing cards. I use my Costco card lol

I got the same email as well. I was subscribed thru Argentina. My renewal date was 2/20 and received an email stating that they couldn't charge my credit card so I need to use some other card issued in Argentina. Just cancelled my subscription.

Now I am trying to see if I can subscribe thru Turkey VPN. But Windscribe VPN does not seem to show Turkey YouTube for some reason. Every time I connect to Turkey Windscribe VPN server, I get the Taiwanese YouTube for some reason but not the Turkey one. Probably need to signup for another cheap VPN Frown

Found out that the issue is with VISA. It works when I switched to a Mastercard.
